Hey guys, I have heard a lot of people talking about great freerolls after graduating from the full tilt poker Academy. Just a question how do you get Full Tilt Poker Academy points without playing for money? Because most of the challenges require money.

Poker is always easier with "money".

When I first started online poker, I sold some stuff on eBay to fund my BR. Old CDs, video games, DVDs, etc. Try it. It's easy. GL

if you do well in the sit and learn challenges, you can get entry into a 1k freeroll that they have monthly.
I am not sure of the field sizes in those though.

Alright, thanks for the info, im just trying to some money for pokerstars, I had some and I got sucked out a lot and I don't want to put money into my account so I'm just going to build from freerolls because its a lot easier.

The freeroll they have is actually 5k, so it's even better. :)

Like people have already said though, you can't get academy credits without playing for real money.

There are several aspects of Full Tilt's Poker Academy.

First: Lessons and Sessions. You cannot get any points for these. They are instructional -- but sometimes really good. I think I've watched nearly all the videos and have certainly learned a ton.

2) Sit N Learns: These are quizzes connected to some of the lessons. There are only a finite number of these. It's very important to pay close attention to the related lesson, because you want to do well in the SNL. If you are in the top percentage, you will qualify for the monthly freeroll. Here's the rub -- you can only qualify once for the freeroll. So if you take a batch of SNls -- one freeroll. And you can't take the SNL again for freeroll credit. Once only. So spread these out.

3) Challenges. You need money to complete the challenges, as all are played at real money tables, whether ring, SNGs or MTTs. Each challenge can be completed 10 times, so if you find one that is easy for you, do it all those times to earn the points. You can trade in the points for step tickets or tourney tickets -- I suggest steps. Or other stuff, of course. Then you use the step tickets to move up the steps. A step 3 ticket can be used for any $24+2 tourney. And that can be really nice.

-------------------------------
Pokerstars also has a Poker School. (Register through the PS client.) Once you complete the Core test, you can play in the skill game freerolls. These have minimal money attached, but if you can cash in a lot, you might qualify for extra league money. If you get your rating over 1525 after at least 5 skill games (everyone starts at 1500, and each cash raises it, while each non-cash lowers it), you can qualify for a PSO Daily Qualifier freeroll, with entries to the Sunday PSO as prizes. That Sunday game awards tickets to the Sunday Million tourney.

The pokerstars poker school sounds pretty cool, I'm going to try that. I think that I may be able to cash in the freerolls.

Okay so i finished the Core Test and I went into the freeroll. I saw that there was an SNG test as well. Where if you pass you get 3x 3.40 tickets to SNG tournies. I was wondering if I could deposit 10 dollars, then wait til i get the tickets then once I get the tickets I just withdraw my money.

Smart. I guess I'm going to have ask a friend to deposit 10 bucks and I'll pay him 10 bucks so I can get my tickets then somehow get up to 100 lol.

Its actually harder than it seems for me, I've tried so freaking hard to get a job, mcdonalds, walmart, KFC, Burger King no body ever hires such a piss off lol. I think I'll just deposit 10 bucks and if it goes down the tube it goes down the tube its 10 bucks anyways so its all good.

You don't graduate from it but you do need to have run up enough FPPs to get access to all the content - I think it's 500 or something, which requires you to play for real money.
