ok. i keep on wanting to join some tournaments but every single one has Rebuy and Add on, or Late registration,
are there any events like this???? that arent to much, $1 or $2.
im getting so peeved with players who play these events and just keep going all in and rebuing untill they have a nice spot and end up making there wat to the cash, its so much harder for players who are trying to earn that dont have money to throw away. i would really love to find an alternative pls many suggestions.

Thanks

Notice that you reside in canada. You have alot of options available to you as far as pokersites you're able to play on. Alot of sites have micro freezeouts (Fulltilt & pokerstars for starters).

Don't play a rebuy unless you're willing to rebuy (a couple/few times) & Addon. Consider a $2rebuy to be equivalent to a $10 freezout before you register for it. If you insist on trying to play it with a 'one bullet' approach, accept the format for what it is instead of thinking it should be different to suit only you.

Bovada has $2.20 entry DS (3,000 starting chips) $500 Guaranteed prize pool everyday. Not too many all in donks after the first break.

I like DS because you get extra chips to play with early in the tournament.

'bodog' (< he's from Canada)

Hanagis, open up the tournament lobby, set the filters for the games you're looking for (ie. $1-$3 freezout). Do this on each of the sites you play on. Then, maybe make up a list for yourself (I do this on a bunch of sites & have lists for 'Turbos', 'rebuys', 'Freezouts', & 'Mixed Games').

I find it very helpful as I'm able to look at my list and see what time I want to begin playing & know that I'll be able to play a handful of the ones I'm interested in, starting at (or close to) the same time. And because you reside in Canada, it is very easy to find a bunch of similiar games you can play in simultaneously if you're playing on a handful of sites.
Takes a few minutes to set it up for youself but is very handy to have imo. (maybe I post an example for freezouts $5-$11 buyin levels?)

yah i have alot of options for sure, i guess i am just trying to find some certain events that i could count on. But i noticed u mentiond the freezeouts which would be perfect for what i am looking for. but even those have late registration tho, well i am pretty sure they do, different on the event and site.
i neever thougt of the rebuys like that, that i should consider it a $10 , i usually always tried to just do it in 1 but always seen to bust with still alot of players left and i have played past the second break. thanks for the wake up call lol.
another thing im guessing is it have better luck with the SnGs instead of mtts with the specifications i am looking to play. its always a set and a gaurante.
so thanks for the info

i play ata few sites, party poker poker stars and 888
partypoker just recently changed up their Tournament schedule (past few weeks), when Bwin joined up with them. They used to have some $6 Deepstack freezouts but most have been removed from lobby. Not sure what other micro mtt stuff they have on there? (they do have a couple/few $1r/a though.. but obv. not what you're looking for).

I think 888Poker might have a fair number of micro MTT's (hard to say.. their MTT lobby is terrible to try to read thru).

Pokerstars has lots!

OMG do i ever agree. they have the worse lobby. makes it really confusing especially when ur looking for a certain event or scheme. i wish they had the ability to filter through the games. well mayb in time they will realise that its a mess lol.

Here's a couple screenshots of the Pokerstars MTT lobby for $1 & $2 freezout tourneys.

It's also not possible to see games on the lobby that are more than 12hrs. in the future (so it makes it impossible to plan what you might want to play the following day (or any day) ).
The 888 Lobby at first 'appears' like there's a gazillion tourneys to choose from but then when you start sifting through them you discover there's not very many at all (at least not many 'normal' tournaments).

There's one on 888Poker (micro buyin) that plays out half-decently > 9:30am (PT.. or 12:30 ET) it's a $3.80 buyin 'DeepStack' (5,000chip starting stacks) with a $2,500 guar. prizepool.
There's another that is a $2 buyin called 'The Grand Daddy' > 3,000 chips to start, & I think $2,000 guar. prizepool. but I think structure isn't that great in it (like most of the 888 tourneys) as I'm pretty sure blinds hit 100/200 before first break!

Also, the 888Poker site has their my888 webpage thingy & the group there holds some daily cheap tourneys with passwords. Some of those might be an option for ya? (I know I've seen some Cardschat members in them)

yah i know what your talking about. when it first came out i was playing in them often, and are those events rebuys and late registration????? also i dont mind if its like a 10 min late registry, thats pretty reasonable but an hr... that makes tournys that start with 500 turn into 1000

yah. seems the 'late reg.' stuff is getting more & more popular. Alot of sites took sooooo long to add it but then went crazy with it (playing tourneys these days where some of them have 3hr. late reg. LOL... I'm happy to make it to 2nd break)

It'd be nice to know approx. how many will actually be playing the tournament. I wish they only had around 30mins. late reg. max. (it depends on what the structure of the tourney is though)

yah i agree half hr max and no longer on ne events. if they want longer registrations open em up a day earlier instead of keeping it open longer after it has started. not fair for others who have been there on time.

but then again its all just to make more cash especially those rebuys. there so many ppl that just play them with the intention of going all in all the time to keep doubling up untill there satisfied to play normal. it really gets to me because not every1 has cash to go and do this. guess i just have to be very selective with the events i am choosing to play. just wish there was a wider selection of them and not so cramed packed with 1000s of entries.
