Why is it that I can't stand the incredibly consistant bad beats at Cake?
I read all the posts about Cake suftware and how horrible it is.
Yet, I keep playing there at below $10 levels and continue to win.
I think I finally figured out why I have been so successful at Cake and maybe this may help some of you have better luck.
At the low level MTTs, that I only play, donk mining is in every game.
I have tried to play like a donk and that didn't work but I had a few incredible
chipstacks after first hour. But I believe the software punished me with huge set ups later. I tried to play alot of hands early and had good success but got knocked out early more often.
Then I started entering tournaments 20-30 minutes late when blinds were 100-150
and my success rate tripled easily.
I avoided the early donkfest and somehow I seem to win a hand within the first 3 of sitting down.
other advise: avoid going all in after a bad beat (8-10 times it will be your last hand)

I don't like both cake or carbon poker, only play on cake because I have 33% rakeback otherwise would not even play freerolls there..

Or avoid the micro stakes mtt's all together. When, if ever, I play micro tournies, I am THE NIT until the first break. Like QQ+ and AK. You'll almost always manage to double up once or twice which will give you a better chipstack than entering late.

There are a lot of people killin it in HU sng's if you crave a little less variance.

OP plays enough to know this shit ain't rigged, he's just lashing out at that evil mistress called variance. Sitting out while the shove-junkies kill each other off might be a variance reducing strategy. But I'm not gonna support that idea.

"Then I started entering tournaments 20-30 minutes late when blinds were 100-150.."

But then you don´t get all the juicy donk stacks, other good players get these easy chippies early...missed opportunites !

I myself have had my share of this network though, mentally i have a block in my mind the RNG hates me and dishes me out coolers for weeks after I make a withdrawl.

Finally gave up on the network. Until Lock went over there!

Blah.

Have myself like 93$ on lock poker and am in no rush to ever play there anytime soon

I love Merge and obv pokerstars/partypoker but don't want to rub them in to much for the usa members.
