lost notes on poker players

i like to write notes on players as i play only in my laptop,

i basically play on full tilt poker (time to time pokerstars)

but dont know why one day i suddenly restarted my laptop and all the notes went missed

does anyone know why is that or where can i get them back?

the info from my laptop is still there (office or other materials but notes from poker no)

In the Full Tilt poker directory on your computer, (On mine it's C:\Program Files\Full Tilt Poker\, I'm on Windows XP), there's a file, <yourusername>.xml which contains all your player notes. Player notes are only saved locally for Full Tilt (Not sure about PokerStars, though I'm pretty sure Full Flush has them saved on a server). You'll probably have luck using a program called Recuva, https://www.piriform.com/recuva. Let it do a deep scan your computer, though it might take a bit. If the file hasn't already been overwritten, you should be able to recover it without an issue
