When playing on pokerstars may occur a problem a lack of space on the disk C because of the recording and storage of logs.
Decision:
delete the file(s) with logs from that directive:
C:\Users\***Your_Name_PC***\AppData\Local\PokerStars

dont delete them all, because you can lose:
- hand history
- tournament summary
- notes
- and your other settings on user.ini

You're running some other program, that's sucking up your HDD space! If you also have a lot of photos, and videos they will suck down on HDD space real quick.

Thanks for the addition, kozong. In my case, there were 2 files with logs. In each 63Gb.
I think that the first file logs can be removed, and later, when will accumulate and create a third, can to remove the second, etc
No need to remove all the files in this folder! Only file(s) with the logs, if these files you no longer need!

kidkvno1, I didn't use additional software. And the logs files were created in the PokerStars folder (address above)

My log files in win10 are under 1MB, even the log file in winXP is small.
You might want to contact PS on it.

Time to get a bigger HDD, like kidkvno said, poker stars files are text, so they don't take up that much space, open the files and see what they are, it may be a hack hidden in a PS folder waiting for you to activate it somehow, who knows, 63gb is way to much to be PS game files, I have played at Poker Stars for close to 20 years and my PS log files are nowhere near 63gb.

Good Luck.

I would check the system for malware & spyware .
If you had installed any poket bot software, uninstall and rescan your system for viruses, malware/spyware, then check again.

I just took a look at the log file, it's more about the internet and log of PS running. I'm not sure if any notes are in that file, since I have no notes on my laptop yet.
To view the file, rename it, and add on .txt to the end.

I would say uninstall PS and reinstall it. check to see if the big log files have been removed by PS, if not delete them.

some of the file.

Ensure you need for this. And so, you're a contender for the nomination - the stupidity of the year. No offense.

Delete it.
this file just record your login information
your play information, etc etc.

PS: how many tables have you played?
I figure you must either play 20+ table or have network issue,- start constantly chance your server game.
so that makes the huge log record.

/AppData is a hidden folder, so maybe you have the option of showing hidden folders disabled.

I received an official response from a support PokerStars, they recommend reinstalling the application

Hello,

In this case, in order to solve your technical problem, we advise that you re-install our software.

You may wish to make a copy of "user.ini" (your preferences) and "notes.user.xml" (where 'user' is your Stars ID) from the settings folder as they will be removed when you uninstall the software. To do this simply open our software (if possible) and click on "Help" -> "Open My Settings Folder" and click "Open My Settings Folder" button, then locate those two files and copy them to a safe temporary location. If you cannot open the software you will need to manually navigate to the settings folder to locate those files.

For Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10:

1. Press the Windows Key + R (at the same time)
2. Type the following or copy/paste into the Area provided and press Enter:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local

3. Locate and open your poker client folder
4. Locate "user.ini" or "user" and "notes.user.xml"
5. Copy the files to a safe temporary location (the desktop is a good choice)

Once you have made a copy of those files, uninstall our software from your computer.

In Windows 10, go to Start -> Settings -> System -> Apps & Features. Use the search bar to find our software or scroll down the list. Then select the program and click on the 'Uninstall' button.

When the program is fully uninstalled please restart your computer. When the computer has restarted, download and install a fresh copy of the software.

Be sure to restore the two saved files once reinstalled. To do this, please go to the "Help" menu and then back to "Open My Settings Folder" and click "Open My Settings Folder" button, then close the client and copy the files back into the folder. If you are asked to overwrite any files accept. You should then have no additional problems.

how many tables have you played?

I play only 1 or 2 table. This problem was first. Before reinstalling Windows, software of PokerStars was on my PC also, but there were no problems with the free place and logs.

If someone would have the same problem, write to PokerStars support and ask for a link to download a fresh copy of the software.

Ops! After step 3, click on "Folder Options"
This will make visible all the hidden folder.
After go
C:\Users\***Your_Name_PC***\AppData\Local\PokerStars

If this is not because of the size of the log, then click and look for the cause in other folders and software

well....I got the same....while playing all of sudden my main harddrive was full.....zero of 339GB available.
I was not even able to uninstall anything.
Rebooted and was able to uninstall stars and now 261GB of 339GB is available.
This means stars somehow took 261GB of my capacity:confused:
Now going to reinstall stars and see what happens....
