I recall reading that there are no casinos or cardrooms in Texas. I always found this to be very ironic. Well w the game being called Texas hold em after all. Try pokeratlas.com and type in your info. I'm sure it should come up with something close to you. You also might try joining a Texas based "poker group" on facebook. They maybe posting on there group page. Also maybe try googling bar poker leagues in your area. If there is bar leagues, you are sure to meet some people there that probably know of a good home game. Good luck finding a profitable game.

Good school! Especially, when it was Southwest Texas State, when I went there.
I was born and raised in the Houston area, but don't live near San Marcos/Austin area, so I can't help. The suggestion to go to a bar league and play, might be a good avenue for finding a good, live cash game. Local Country Clubs are good (if you, or a friend have a membership) for some as well.
