How is it that Facebook Poker has better browser based software then some poker clients?

I knew they had it but Ive never played because it seems to me there's no point when I can play on Tilt and Stars.

Definitely in the same boat as Greatness. Why play FB Poker when you can play FT or PS, where there's no doubt less donks and some use for your play chips. Unless of course you're getting real money from that site Torrin posted in which case it may in fact be worth taking out some fish for some cash.. Can't imagine many buyers on the FB site though.. what would they want those chips for even? o_o Personally, I'd say my time's better used racking up FT play chips for the 500k buy-in, real-money-prize tournaments.

It is my understanding that you can win a seat to the wsop by winning tournaments there. But I have not researched this myself yet. :)

Real money poker sites are too busy rigging hand outcomes to be concerned with things like browser clients.

But seriously...

I suspect the real reason is the browser is too limiting an environment. Poker clients are set up to monitor a LOT of stuff going on in your system in order to look for things like bots, multiple users logged in from the same machine, etc. A truly browser-based solution with no extra software installed would be rather limited in what it can do. Also, the code would be much more visible and hypothetically much easier to hack.

facebook

Yes it is silly to play on facebook or myspace for that matter. They do have decent graphics though. I have played there but i got bored very quickly and never did again. I guess total newbies would get some practice there but I agree with everyone else why not play on pokerstars or fulltilt.

haha yeah that's the thing about places like that. if checking every friend on your list over and over again to see if something has been said wasn't enough...for those who aren't there full time...they've found a way to get some more ppl in. maybe they're better off just staying there though
