Some fecker tried to access my account today on FTP. I only found out when I signed in on FTP to play the CC freeroll, to get a warning that since my last login (yesterday) my account had 4 failure logins. I checked and seen the failed attempts.

I have contacted FTP on the email that was on the warning window that I got. Gave them the IP that the attempt came from, all I know is, he or she is from the UK and on the plusnet ISP, which I am not. I checked the IP just to see if this could possibly be an error like a false positive but like I say I am not on plusnet so I can't see this being an error but a failed attempt at hacking my account.

What will FTP do with the IP address? Can and will they track whoever it is down?

I ran into this same issue quite some time ago now, basically ended up changing my password to be safe and adding in the additional pin type option as well for an extra level of security.

Can't really remember what or if ftp was able to do anything about it, they basically just asked me if I knew a certain player (i guess a player that matched the ip) when i inquired about it and I had never seen the username before that I recall.

I guess some people out there probably see a username playing on the tables and figure they will try and hack their account, gives some extra security reasons behind why some sites have a login name and then a different table name possibility I suppose.

I'd suggest changing the password just to be safe and adding the pin option as I had done just for the extra security that if they could figure out the password they would also need to know the 3 of 52 card combination that is used in the pin system on there.

Got a reply back which I was a little confused about. They never mentioned the IP that the failed login came from, they just said about maybe it was a family member and if anyone knows my password.

They went on to say that they reviewed my account and don't see anything suspicious, no-one has assessed my account or changed my information. I know this as whoever tried to access my account failed to do so.

I have replied back saying the failed login was on a different IP from me and when I checked the IP it was on a different ISP as me. I also could not get the password wrong as I use remember password

See if they do anything with it.

I have changed my password and used the pin login, thanks Dave :)
