I ran into this issue before. I did find a solution.
Open the client up.
Requests -> Account History... (Web)
You'll want the balance type of real money, and the date range that ends around April 16th, 2011. I put in Jan. 1st, 2010 - April 30th, 2011, and I got all my balances from my play from that time. It was a mistake (I played a lot). But, it was not a huge mistake. You will get an excel sheet (downloaded in a zip file). You open that and your final balance will be the last row.

Edit: I still have no idea about when, or even how, we'll get the money back.

Yes, it's only a US player thing. Our account balances are zero because those funds have been transferred to the DOJ.
