As if Lock Poker needed another reason to be struck down, their CEO came out with a statement in support of Sheldon Adelson's ban of online poker in the USA, saying that it "fits their business model". And what model is that; ripping off customers and getting away with it because online poker in the US is unregulated while hoping for a complete ban so that you can just walk away from it all without a second thought? Read the story at the following link:

Stop No Pants Poker: Lock Poker is Pushing for US Online Poker Ban

Sidenote: Not sure how much of the story is true, but I was able to find out that she did visit a school, which is a key piece. I can't find any other reports on what was actually said, though.

I wonder if this has anything to do with my game shutdown just a few minutes ago on Carbon.
How unjust is it for them to just shutdown the game, when you put hours of hard work?
It's really disappointing.

OMG I called it!!! I'll find the post later it's in one of the Lock Poker threads!!!

I said something along the lines of "I wouldn't be surprised if Sheldon Adleson paid Lock to screw up in order ot make Online poker look bad"

lol

That's what I thought, but it's not pure satire. She definitely went to a school in KS and definitely is on Sheldon Adelson's side of things. I just can't verify literally a single other word in the article. Obviously about half of it is just poking fun, but there's a meat and potatoes portion, too.

I also want to point out that the site as a whole is kind of like The Onion for poker with a big focus on online poker. However, just like The Onion, the stories do have a factual basis (also a la The Daily Show/The Colbert Report).

With that in mind, the biggest mindf*ck is that I'm not sure if they can quote words that were not truly said by any individual represented in the story and those are the really interesting parts. Lol

Lock poker is poker room that is not suitable for play, balances at Lock poker are selling for between $.05 and $.10 on the dollar.
In that case Lock poker can be described as a deposit-only poker room.
While Lock is US friendly room, with banned online poker in the USA they will negate all US withdrawal requests without any responsibility and thet is their "business model"
lol

Was she picking up her kids from that said school? Is that why she was there? LMAO

Perhaps in each state. She does enjoy South America, too, so intercontinental housing is likely. :p

This "business model" is judicially not valid! You cannot take illegal deposits and then say: "Oh, withdrawals are not allowed, so it´s not our responsibility"

But yeah, their business model is "deposit-only", licensed and approved by curacao-egaming.com in Curacao!
