Hopefully by now everyone knows, but just in case you did not.. beware of Lock Poker's pyramid scheme. Do not deposit or play at Lock poker as you will never get your money out. The site is obviously pilferering player accounts and continues to misrepresent its financial position. I and countless other players have been waiting 6+ months to get money out to no avail. Support continues to placate us with the usual fraudulent form responses that border on the ridiculous. Spare yourself the agony, don't give them a penny.

mod edit: also see https://www.cardschat.com/forum/poker-deposits-withdrawals-54/ for updates.

I'm definitely going to check up on this. I had never heard of Lock until recently when I started thinking about playing online poker once again, my little brother had mentioned that he deposited and played there. After a little research of my own on Lock I quickly realized that although it may have been a great site years back, it had fallen low on the list of ranked online sites. I started hearing alot of good things about Bovada so I deposited there and I have never had any problems....

Hi, first post.. probably shouldn't be here but I searched this for a reason. I am glad that I did because now I won't deposit or even attempt to download Lock!! I am looking for another site to play on just so I can switch around for a new feel... Bovada seems like the one to go to.

Cheers!

Quick update

Lock pocker support has now stopped responding to my inquiries as to when I will get my money. They basically have stolen my money without explanation. Watch out for these hucksters!

Hopefully, your ship comes in. When the company quits having poker players on its site, like UB/AP did, then that would be even more unlikely of you ever getting paid.

Lock Poker

Hi, I was just having a look at a review for this room and it looks ok until you read the part about withdrawals, WTF 20+ days average seriously, you could kick a heroin habit in less time, how can you thrust them if there withdrawal takes a ridiculous amount of time and why the hell would it take that long ?

Who is going to arrest them? Also is the site gets shut down no one is going to get paid. People are owed money from pokerstars and Full Tilt they are still doing well.

PokerStars never owed outstanding debt to anyone (meaning they pay their players) (That I know of I've never heard different)

Full tilt screwed players over then Pokerstars bought out Full tilt and made a deal with the DOJ to get the players paid..

And to answer the guy you were responding to.. with the exception of the New Jersey thing that's going on Poker is not regulated in the United States and poker sites are ran from off shore places where US has no jurisdiction to arrest them, or the UK or Canada.. or where ever..

This is why we need poker regulated in the United States to protect players money..

1 of the reasons why any way

It has now been over 6 months since my request for withdrawal. Lock pocker occasionally answers an email with some BS about a "new system" to make payments. Of course, they can't tell me when they are you going to payout. This is a total SCAM! Watch out.

I heard it takes 6 months to receive a check from lock poker. If you use western union you can pick it up within 48 hours of cashout request... So ive heard.

AN ADVICE for all the CREDITORS of Lock poker, CC CREDITORS VS LOCK POKER

Wow, what I'm reading her?! I started to play on Lock because one of the great CardsChats freeroll tournaments but I have earned only 10 bucks until now. I'm trully sorry about what I read here because it's not normal to wait for your earned cash more then 8 to 10 days. That's all I will tell you. Of course it's not fault or responsibility of our forum what's happening in poker clients. Its probably only Debis good will for helping you out so don't get frustrate on her. Still, very sad and delicate situation. Still 15k of dollars isn't such a huge sum still every coin is metter and everyone winnings should be paid so I can advise you all the creditors of Lock poker to use this thread or make a new one and try to make a LIST with amounts what Lock owns you. Put a some date until you should all write down your sum they own you then you should check what is the residential country of the site, so if you get some decent amount of what Lock owns to the whole list you could contact some international law firm or even maybe the firm from they own country and make a law sue as a list of creditors. Maybe you could make a deal with law firm to pay them by percent of the debt etc. so you don't have to invest even more cash. That's what would I do. Its only depend of how angry you are.
I hope I helped you.

Lol are you sure about that? Offshore means only tax free zone, it doesn't means its a wild west. So, you can sue them I assure you. :listen:

The US has no jurisdiction there why else would Howard, Chris and Ray not be in Prison or sued?

Omg! The US don't have any jurisdiction in Serbia but it doesn't mean your company can't sue company in/from Serbia. Also you can hire an attorney from the residential country of the company you sue, hoping that your lawyer should know better the regulations in that country. So, that's it from me here. No more free advices. ;)

Oh, one more thing. You should make a difference between deportation and suing some foregin person or company. For example, Serbia won't deport me to the US if I kill someone there and somehow get away back to Serbia but you my country will sue me for that, all you have to do is go trough our legal system and I am convicted I'll go here in the joint. Serbia do not deport her own citizens to the US because Amersica never signed some multilateral contracts as most of the world does and reciprocity is what is metter between the countries, etc. The same thing is with your case. Of course you can't got trough the US system if the company is resident of some other country.

Find a international law attorney, in the US you have a lwayer for different area of life so maybe you choose the wrong one because as I know, if you try to talk with specialist for family law in the US, he won't know enough about crime law which is not bad at all but you need the attorney for the right area. We learn all here in Serbia but that's some other story. What you need is a specialist for (International) Conflict of Laws or something like that.
