Hi all, I am playing in a live tourney this weekend at a golf course near my home town. I hope everything I have been reading here helps me win. The top 8 places will be paid and my goal is to at least place in the top 8. Wish me luck : ) !!! Any more last minute advice would be greatly appreciated:lollypop:

Tight early, it is not a sprint but a marathon. You don't need to double up in the first hour. Just try to stay close to average stack until you get the monster hands.

in a tourney dont waste your chips,do lots of folding the first hour or so, UNLESS you know for sure you have the nuts. you dont even have to play a hand in the first hour, if you dont get nothing, fold, fold, fold just play your good hands and dont take any chances. After that you have to play some otherwise you will get blinded out. Check the tournament structure, the blinds, how many minutes it is till the next raise of the blinds, and when the anti`s start. It should give you an idea of how to bet and when to bet. If the blind raises are more than 15 minutes apart take your time. good luck

All good advice. One other thing, Relax and have fun. You will play better poker if you are not so wond up.
