I remember reading a blog, Negranu's blog I think, where he heard that Florida had weird gambling laws. Tournaments were OK, but in ring games you could only bet a maximum of $2. So the casinos had mostly S&G's as you could be more in those.

But I think poker sites consider you to be in their country when you play. So such rules would not apply.

There are a number of states whose laws have led some poker sites not to accept their residents while accepting residents of other states. I suppose I could Google for it but I'm not that interested.

Florida casinos did have some redic rules but they recently (within last year) updated them so they are now just a bit better.

We have those types of rules here in Colorado. The casinos here have a 5 dollar betting limit. All the blackjack tables, slot machines and poker rooms have a 5 dollar bet/raise limit, except for the poker tournies, those can be any price the casino wants to set on them.

Also, roulette and dice games are illegal here.
