Anybody play there? Heading up in a couple weeks. Probably just want to play a couple cheap ($40-$115) tournaments. A quick look seems like Harveys, The Lakeside Inn and Chrystal Bay would qualify. Been to Harveys 20 years ago. I'm sure that's probably the best/biggest poker room up there. Anyone know the other places (or one I haven't thought of)?

I was born & raised off Ski Run Blvd. at the South Shore. Harvey’s and Harrah’s both have great poker rooms, although I haven't been back at the Lake in a couple of years. If you were there 20+ years ago, you probably remember when they blew a big hole in Harvey s. Crazy stuff

Thanks. Already booked room at Harrahs, but I may switch that to a nice condo in Incline Village that just became available. Don't really know the area, but I'm guessing IV has to be at least 1/2 hour away from Harveys?

Its 72 miles around the lake and a very long though beautiful drive. Most of the South Shore is in California (no gaming). Incline village is on the North Shore where its all gaming is but the casinos suck. All the players stay at State Line on the South shore where all the majors are located.

Your good on the South Shore. No need to hit the north Shore unless your doing beach/water stuff, but this time of year the water is a toasty 60 df.

Thanks. Will have wife & 19year old daughter (who obviously can't go to casino). My choices are basically Harrahs or this 3bd condo (http://www.tahoebarterrentals.com/). So...

Condo pros: MUCH bigger/better room for "play money", kitchen, killer views/surroundings. Cons: makes long drive (from Valley Center) even longer, long drive to casinos/entertainment/etc, nothing much for bored daughter within walking distance.

Harrahs pros: walk to casino/food/downtown/etc
Cons: Real $ for much less of a room, no sipping Don Julio 1942 from deck overlooking killer views.
