Ladbrokes Poker Out of canada

I received this email from Ladbrokes saying they will no longer offer services to Canada.

This is weird, some sites would sell their mothers to get players and others just push them away.

This is an important announcement regarding Ladbrokes account(s) from Canada.
We regularly review our ability to offer gambling facilities in different countries throughout the world.
As a result, we are sending this message to let you know that we will soon no longer be offering our products or services in Canada.

How does this affect customers from Canada?

-Customers from Canada will no longer be able to register, deposit funds or bet using any of our products or services from Wednesday 1st October 2014.
-Any Bonus funds and pending winnings still tied into wagering requirements in accounts from Canada will be forfeited as of Wednesday 1st October 2014.
-From Wednesday 1st October 2014 customers from Canada will have 30 days to withdraw any remaining funds from their account(s).

Please withdraw your balance to the payment method registered on your account to ensure swift withdrawal of funds.
If you are unable to withdraw your funds to the registered payment method, please register your bank transfer details to ensure swift withdrawal of funds.
For security & monitoring purposes, we may be required to request additional documentation in order to process your request.

Please get in touch with our friendly support teams if you should have any questions:
Contact Number outside UK: +44208 515 2565
E-mail support: accountqueries@ladbrokes.com

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards,
Ladbrokes Team

This is not the first British based company to pull out of Canada.
Does anyone know if there is some new law in Britain that disallows Canadian players?
Is party poker based in the UK?
I hope that Party Poker is not the next one to pull out of Canada.
They were the first room I ever deposited at in 2003 and the only room that I haven't at least broke even at.
I need a chance to get my money back. :)

One thing I don't like about poker is all those sites flip flopping all over the place and all the strange government regulations about online gambling.

We take the time to pick an affiliate, open an account, deposit and generate rake for the site. Then they throw us out like garbage.

I wouldn't say you were that lucky not to deposit because we are getting our money back.

Titan Poker is owned by Playtech and they have shares in Ladbrokes. As you know Titan are not allowing new Canadian players; they only "tolerate" those already there.

Ladbrokes is on iPoker so I can still play on a different skin. However Ladbrokes sometimes had good promotions worth playing. And they had a reliable sportsbook.

The sites are almost all reporting down profits. I think each time a room excludes players or some sort of scam breaks out, there will be players that will quit poker for another hobby. And the profits go down, so more room shuffle happens creating a downward spiral.

Well I just used some of my last points for a tournament and won 10Euros. Now I have cleaned up my account.

I'm a bit nostalgic about it. I don't like having to close my account. :goodnight:

I hope they change their mind and accept us again in the future.

October 1 2014, I can't login into Ladbrokes Poker client, so it is an effective ban for Canadians. Although I could login on the web and access my account.

I had already cleaned up my account but I only wanted to check if it was still available until the end of the month for withdrawal only.

I cashed out my remaining balance (left ~$1 in acc't.).
Also tried to login after the 1st but wasn't able to. Checked this thread & saw that you were able to login to account via the webpage. I tried this & was unable to get onto my account :(
Also have been checking my bank account & the funds are still not there & zero correspondence from Ladbrokes :(

Don't expect top notch service from a company that just dumped you in the garbage!
