Has anyone played many of these knockout MTT's? They seem to be as soft as they come.

I'm playing in a 10+1 one, and at the 40 minute mark, 306 of the initial 601 entrants are gone already....... Yes, over half the field is already gone 40min in, and this isn't even a turbo. The blinds are still only 40/80 !!

These things have got to be +EV for anyone decent. I may have to try and play these more.

In the time it took me to post this, 31 more people busted out. Blinds are still 40/80....

Just don't complain when someone sucks out on you when they call with garbage in an attempt to knock you out. :p

Oh yes, God, exactly.
Just play your normal game and almost all of your big hands will get paid off. bluffing less frequently might be considered to be a good strategy.

Yeah, I ran into that problem in one of the cheaper buy-in ones. Picked up two or three bounties before it happened though, so it wasn't a total loss.

They actually play more like freerolls than anything else. People are willing to get all-in with almost anything trying to collect those bounties.

I'm as prepared as I can be ! lol

My PT stats 50 hands in: 7/2/2

yet I'm top 100 in chips.

210 left out of 601 at the first break

gl effexor. as mentioned above, a tighter, less bluffy approach is definitely recommended, and you seem to be doing that :). however, when you have the other player/players in the hand covered and they can't knock you out, bluffing can still be advisable then

Oh well I'm out.

Took a suckout, then pushed with 66 only to be called by TT. Pushed a few more times to buy blinds then pushed with AT to be called by JJ which held.

Still think these can be very profitable. You could fold until half the field is gone.

so it seems that it might pay off to play a tight aggressive game.
i might give it a shot but currently i can't afford to that $10 buy in. maybe the $3 one at night.

You should stick to Phil Hellmuth's "TOP TEN HAND" strategy in these events and only ever play "AA KK QQ AK JJ AQ 10 10 99 88 77" hera.

i have played many of these and actually cashed in some...i think 5th in one....but i use the soft play....like people trying to take bounties to my advantage.....it can be like a freeroll but once it gets down to the money....that stops and the good players and real play kicks in....not as much all ins and suckouts if you know what i mean

I've actually won the 10+1 several times and won the 24+2. I play it very tightly and don't go for bounties at all. Normally I won't even have a KO until the final 3 tables. TAG works best for these.
