Hey guys

I'm just wondering for Sh*ts and gigs if there are any play money poker rooms I can also teach my cousin the online game at. I know all the poker rooms have the play money option.Im just thinking along the lines of planet poker. Planet poker has like 20 ppl at a time playing so its usually a bunch of donks and/or 12 year olds. So where the good ones at???

Thanks

If you are not US player, I would say Stars because you can even sell the play money chips there if you win a lot of them.

I believe US players can still play play money on Tilt and Stars. The competition at those two sites is probably slightly better than other pure playchip places like Zynga or whatnot.

Otherwise, Merge network sounds like a good choice from what others have said above.

And just for inspiration sake, I started with playchips on Full Tilt, made a $2 cash in one of those $40/500k playchip tournies and I now have a BR over $1300 in 6 months having never deposited a cent of my own money.

There are others on this site who have done the same or even better.

Same here, I won $6 off a CC freeroll on Carbon back in January and now I have over $800 on there.

I think the best way to go if your trying to teach someone how to play is the funsteps on merge. You can play in them without any worries and if you make it up to funstep 3 and win then you get a buck to play with.

I'd definitely use PokerStars.
Play Money is still available worldwide there.

Maybe consider setting up a Home Game Club at PokerStars.
That way you can control which players are even invited to join the table.
Plus you could openly discuss hands there without upsetting random players at the open tables.
