Full Tilt gave me some issues and I won't be playing there for a bit so I tried pokerstars for the first time!

I am sooooooooooo lost. Everything looks so different. The user interface is really confusing! First thing I did was switch the background to the black one.

Do any of you guys have any suggestion to make the user interface more similar to Full Tilts and easier for muti-tabling 4 tables?

Oh, I'm not talking trash in case there is any huge PokerStars fans! Haha, this is soooo crazy!!!

Omg - I always played primarily at PS and when I went to FT for 2 months I hated it lol. I went back to PS this month and I am so happy to be back home - I can't imagine anyone wanting it to remotely resemble FT.

What specifically are you looking for? If you want to tile the tables hit ctrl 9.

I used to play FTP and refused to move to Stars because I didn't like the software, but when I did move it took me a couple of hours to get completely used to it and now I love it :)

I'd recommend the Hyper-Simple theme, it's my favourite of the lot and everything is really easy to access.

don't like both sites layout and interface :(

like the id-network much more (titan/cdpoker)
there easy to get 8-12 tables on 1 screen and even more with 2 screens.
i usae 2 screens with max 4 tables at 1 screen for bigger tables and quick
action .
reserve 1 screen for 4 id network tables mostly and the other fot up to 4 tournies :D

I have started playing more on pokerstars and I hated the interface at first but after playing their for a bit I have gotten use to it. I'm pretty sure you will get use to it after a while too.

Ironically, I chose the FTP layout that most closely matched the hyper-simple layout on PS, to make FTP look more like PS lol.

Congratulations for moving to PokerStars! Personally I think the interface is already fine and it shouldn't take you long to get used to it. Good Luck!

Ok, how do I tell how much time I have left to act? On Full Tilt you can see the time bank beside your name, but all I get is a box that pops up here requesting for more time.

Look at chat, it'll tell you that you need to make a decision within X number of seconds when that box pops up to allow you to request more time. If you do request more time by clicking on that button, how much time is left in your time bank will be displayed on that same button.

Thanks. Sometimes when I hold a good hand, I get scared that it will auto fold so I'm doing everything so fast. I'm starting to like PokerStars. I didn't realize how many tournaments they have. I do miss playing Rush on Full Tilt though.

I'm on both sites too and like them , because I think they have the best look, feel and games of all...!!!

All others are having the same looking lobby and are very cheap to me...

Then I like the fact that FTP is based in ireland, what makes it
more serious to me.

PokerStars is based in an Indian reservation, but it falls under proper law.

I look always for info's where the site has it's headquarter, and never would give my money to a site based in suspicious countries.

WOW. Pokerstars...it took me about 20 mins to find a step1 SNG. The lobby is the weirdest of all. Moreover Pokerstars is the only room where I could profit 0.0. :) But it's just my story.
I think after a while you will be a FT player again.

I suggest you to play in smaller rooms like Cereus, bodog, Everest etc...PS is full of players trying to copy pros' style.

Full Tilt and Poker Stars

I think both sites are equally important in the online community for various reasons.I think each is different in it's own right but has it's own set of neat qualities that makes it cool to play.

if you change the table view on fulltilt to racetrack view, it is much better than their default

I play in both sites, i like both sites, each one have his own pro´s and con´s.

One versus the other umm.

i like that Stars have the info about your placing number, average chips, etc in the chat box, so if are playing more than 1 table you don´t need to have the tourny lobby open, in Fulltilt they have the tourny info option but this open a box with that info but i don´t find any part to put that box, if they could do it just a little smaller will be great.

Fulltilt have $2.25 - 27players/S&G, Stars don´t have those and have the $3.40 - 27players/S&G instead, but rake kind of suck.

Hate to have the same avatar in Stars from 2-3 years back and can´t change it, Fulltilt avatars suck too, will be better if could load your own.

cashier from Fulltilt is better vs Stars.

Stars black table is better vs any table from fulltilt.

Fulltilt steps are better vs Stars

Cash-outs from both are fast and easy, but Fulltilt have a $50 min. Stars don´t.

A lot more things but is enough for now.

When I first went from FT to PS, I was like “what?” in the beginning too, but at the end, I liked PS’ simplicity better. For one, definitely switch away from the default yellow puke color scheme. I dunno how anyone can stand that. I switched to the black background plus the simple big card font. I am on Carbon now. I wish it had the option to change the display sizes. The buttons, fonts, and cards are too small and the available user interface color contrast is poor. But due to the crappy players there, it’s worth it.

I had the same problem. I fiddled a bit with the settings to make it a bit more user friendly, (eg I originally couldn't see the amount of chips people were betting!) but I think it just takes a bit of getting used to.
