As the title says, I just started to play poker online and I like it, like a hobby.

But I would like to deposit some cash (like $20-$40 for those 1c-2c games). I currently play in pokerstars, but I don't want to have trouble if I want to cash out because I was thinking of using my credit card.

What should I look out for for depositing and cashing out in pokerstars?

And a second question, can you play bovada poker online? I'm currently in mexico but I can access http://poker.bovada.lv/ just fine.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure you won't have any issues with stars or bovada. Both rooms provide great methods for cashits that are handled efficiently. Their customer service departments are fantastic, just make sure you do your end by doing the verification process proper and the rest is a sailing breeze. =)

What you should look is for a strong poker room, that has been proved itself ( Pokerstars for example ). You wouldnt have any issues withdrawing money back. Next thing you should look for is what kind of offers can they propose to you ( January bonus "FREE20+14" gives you a double bonus of your deposit, considering you deposit 20 dollars ). If you want to deposit more you can use the double deposit offer, for a 40 dollars you will receive 80. You will have the bonus credited to your account within the first 24 hours of your deposit. You should pick up a bonus and use the best one that suits you. Afterall, its just for the first deposit so you would want to use that as big as you can.

If you're going to consider bonuses, you need to look at how the bonus works and what you have to do to clear it (make it possible to withdraw the bonus money).

Also, be aware that if you try to withdraw before a bonus is completely cleared, the bonus will normally be canceled. Plus if you've lost money, you can expect the loss to be taken from your deposited money first.

So say you deposit $50 and get a $50 bonus. You then play and lose $5. You'll only be able to withdraw up to $45 (your original $50 minus the $5 you lost), and if you withdraw any part of the $45, the site will take back the $50 bonus.

But each bonus can have its own terms and conditions, so don't automatically assume they all work as outlined above.

I thought that it worked like that too but recently found out that it isn't so on all sites.

I opened a Neteller account and wanted to withdraw from FTP into it. I found out that on FTP you cannot withdraw to Neteller unless you first deposit from there. I deposited $10 and a day later withdrew $20. Depositing the $10 initiated a bonus which has continued to run despite the withdrawal.

Maybe there are only bonus problems if you try to withdraw the whole BR?

Thanks everyone for their responses.

I will certainly look on bonuses.

My post glitched or something, it only showed part of my second question:

And a second question, can you play http //poker.bovada.lv/ just fine.

Maybe it was the link that glitched it.

My second question was: "can you play bovada poker online outside of US? I'm currently in Mexico. I can access poker.bovada.lv just fine"

Ive not long been playing online but the customer support at Full Tilt is brilliant. I was actually surprised at how quick and helpful they were. You'll have no trouble at Stars.

welcome to online poker, I hear that Bovda is pretty good with cashouts. If you haven't downloaded all the rooms yet, i'd suggest you do it through this forums links (bonuses) Also before depositing, try your luck at freerolls unless you want the deposit bonus. Good luck.

This is not good advise, you have to worry about it now since you are putting your own money in you need to worry on how to get it out.

From my experience stars has been excellent with cashing out. I cashed out through paper checks, entropay and echecks with no problem. I never cashed out through credit cards since my credit cards does not allow it. Also I always have issues depositing directly with my credit card on stars. I usually use entropay to deposit with creditcard and echeck for bank accounts. Credit cards rules can be different in your country, might be better to contact stars to get more info. For bovada , I never had any problems with that either, to find out if you can play in your country just contact and ask them. Good luck
