I can't believe it...I just lost $3 in Noble poker with some d*&^ calling my preflop raise. Obviously he called my all in after the flop...He hit a straight 3 to 7. Who does that??

That's just got me pissed off!

Hi,
Nasty break but bad beats do happen. How much did you raise preflop and how much $ did the caller have? If it wasn't a large raise perhaps he thought why not and BANG he hit his perfect flop..the wsop winner won with 7 3 remember.

My kings have been cracked all week. Yesterday I raise 4x bb flop comes x x x, no pair on the board, no four to a flush. I push in either post flop or on the turn and I get callers who are on flush draws and hit or str8 draws and hit.

Seems to go thru stages where they either hold up or are cracked all the time. Last night in a tourney I was playing, aces were cracked three times. One time to the same poor guy.

STOP WHINING, You pocket kings will get cracked by an opponents two undercards about 11% of the time, so you must realize that pokcet kings ARE NOT invincible.

There's the right idea.

You've got to remember, when you see pocket kings in your hole preflop you have to remember that that doesn't mean a thing. You're not being handed an automatic win, in order to win with them you're going to have play them right, and in order to not lose a lot you're going to have to know when to lay them down. Raise big preflop, make some value bets post flop and you'll be able to tell what your opponent has.

Also, be glad it was only three dollars. You spend that much on hamburger. I too have seen a lot of people experience TRULY bad beats and lose over $500 in a hand. You have to know and accept that sometimes when it seems you've defintiely got the best hand, someone grabbed a miracle hand and has you beat. That's poker. If you're not willing to accept the risk you shouldn't be play. Remember: Always make sure that you know whatever you're bring to a table might not come back with you.

That's my lesson. :p

It isn't the amount of money, it the principle of it. For example, I was playing a no limit micro table on UB (first hint of a problem - I know!). I had pocket rockets. I get into a pissing war with someone else (we keep reraising pre-flop), and he goes all in. I, of course, cover. He has 2-2. Now really - who goes all-in pre-flop in real money with 2-2? Well, you know how the story ends ...

Know how you all feel, about being beat with good cards and someone else has a better hand, that's poker,if you had the chance you'd do it to them. Like having 3-A's and you think you've got it made and get beat with full boat or 4 of a kind, that will sink your boat. You just get back up and try again,it's just poker. Good luck

That happens some times. Even aces get cracked. Thats why they have those percentages:
You pocket kings will get cracked by an opponents two undercards about 11% of the time, so you must realize that pokcet kings ARE NOT invincible!!
SO u just gotta accept it, be thankful it was only 3 bucks and move on!!

Sorry to chicubs1616. I didn't know how to use the quote until after I posted it. LOL. FULL credit to chicubc1616 for the KK percentage!

Kings might not be as good as you think. Not only do undercards win 11% of the time, but if an ace comes on the board, be careful...you're probably beat.

I have to agree with most here. First, $3 is not that much, if you keep on playing you WILL lose more even with pocket rockets. I have, and I am sure most people playing for a few months have. You will find a lot of people on line in micor games that will call most everything and crack your good pocket cards. Accept it and move on, though it sure sucks when it happens.
And to your question, who does that? Well, a lot more than you think. A huge percentage of the players on line. And that is good, at least in the long run. Nice source of pocket cash. ;)

Big pairs lose all the time. I have won some big pots with two pairs, 3 of kind, and straights, because people will keeping betting their Kings and Aces.

I lost yesterday with a pair of kings, I even flopped a set of kings, someone had 3 aces, before me and they didn't raise pre flop.

I also lost 3 of kind aces. I raised big before the flop. Bet big on the flop when i saw the set. I don't slow play online very much, because idiots will keep betting. 2 suited cards came on the turn and the river and I got beat by a flush.

kk UPDATE I lost another today pot today with KK, the guy hit the Ace on the river.

I also had bad luck with AA, I raised , I reraised. Then Bet, and reraised to all in.
The guy who kept calling me also had AA and we split, what are the chances of two player having pocket aces?

Shaggy,

The odds of that happening are 1 in 7,311,616, but it happens. I've seen it happen once or twice with different pocket pairs, and I've had it happen to me with KK.

As for the rest of your post. If you're losing that much with your KK or AA you're not playing them right. Put bluntly.

Those are crazy odds, don't get me wrong. I have won 95% of the time with KK and AA but have lost a few times.

I had my KK cracked last night aswell and it cost me all my chips in a sng. I only did a small raise x2,and was last to act. The reason for the slow play was because to first guy to act has already gone all in 4 times I was hoping to trap him. There was 1 other caller. Floped came up K 3 J. Nice im looking good. Check, small bet, I call, the first guy folds. On the turn A. Buddy bets 200, I raise to 500 he goes allin (another 250). He has the Q 10. Beats my KKK with a straight. Whenever I slow play a hand I think I probally get beat 60% of the time.
