I have never signed up to get rakeback before. I just signed up for Carbon Poker through this website which mentions the 30% rakeback. pokerdepositoptions.

Has anyone signed up through this site before? Do I have to do anything else to activate my rakeback or is this automatic. (I am waiting for my deposit to show up in my CP account... can't play yet, so I am unable to test it)

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Almost 30 hrs after my deposit using echecks, I still shown 0 balance in my account. Does it normally take this long with Carbon?

On FT and PS, I was able to play immediately even though I was not allowed to withdraw as the echeck was waiting to clear.

I don't think the rakeback worked. It's been 3-4 days since I started playing, and the rakeback deposit is supposed to be daily. I was worried that the rakeback hadn't gone through because I wasn't asked for anything other than signing up.

That site doens't even have any contact info to ask them about it.

Anyone who might have considered signing up through that site, try another one.

Pretty sure that Carbon Poker has a phone number for support.

Carbon Poker is fine. I am talking about the site I signed up at CP through.

I shot CP an email about the rakeback, waiting to hear back.

Carbon Poker confirmed that the code I got from that site did not give me rakeback.

It's too bad because I really like Carbon so far.

Their first deposit freeroll is very generous and much better than normal freerolls. I finished 6th today and won $25, which is half my deposit amount. Pretty good deal. Only drawback is that I can't play it everyday.

I have never heard of that affiliate, but it's probably legit. As long as your account is a rakeback account, you'll get daily rakeback payments straight from Carbon poker. You can view them from your player admin area.

Carbon's customer service said that my account isn't linked to any rakeback offer, and since the site's rakeback is daily, and I haven't gotten any, it's a pretty good bet that the affiliate I signed up through was misleading.

After I signed up and looked at other sites, the other sites all ask you to take additional steps such as providing them with your username on the poker site so they can track you.

I should have taken my time researching before I signed up. My own fault.

That sucks :( There's some good affiliates out there, but also some very shady ones. I've sent you a pm for a possible solution though.

Yeah that sucks, but be glad you found out starting out. I played quite a while without rakeback before I knew it existed, how sucky is that.

Anyways, about your problem, you can just find another site on Merge and sign up with a different rakeback provider. The site itself doesn't matter much, just the network it's on. Don't get too caught up on graphics and gimmicks IMO.

Now about the rakeback thing, I have no idea about the merge network but usually you can get significantly better deals than the ones listed on a provider's website. Just be more careful next time :)

carbon is good.

just make sure the affiliate you sign up thru really offers rakeback. If you tell you multiple steps to take, then it's likely a legit site.

The site that I signed up thru just gave me that code to use. I assumed that the code gave me rakeback too. My own negligence not doing more research beforehand. I had never used rakeback before so I wasn't sure of the procedure.

It turns out I have to clear points in order to withdraw the money I won in these tourneys! Could take me forever seeing I play at micro and Carbon's pts requirement to dollar cleared ratio is high~

Damn I knew it was too good to be true.

I must have missed something. I didn't see that you mentioned any tournament winnings. Generally you can cash out your winnings when ever you want. But, any active bonuses will be lost. So, a look at your bonuses may tell you if it is worth losing them to a cashout. I believe that the requirements on the bonuses offered other than Carbon's standard deposit bonus offer can be a little silly and depending on your stakes a long time away from becoming a reality.

You can get 35% rakeback at Carbon through rakebrain.com. You only have to wait 7 days for freeroll winnings to be eligible for withdrawal. Otherwise, the funds you won in the freeroll should show up as "restricted by bonuses" in the cashier until they clear. You shouldn't need to play and earn points to withdraw it. You may be able to convert your account to rakeback if you ask reallllly nice and explain your situation to Carbon considering you don't have a tracker at all on your account. Even if you can't, Carbon takes the rakeback out of the points you earn anyway so you earn points slower to clear bonuses, etc so it may not be a big deal if you are trying to clear a first deposit bonus.

You might be able to get rakeback without an affiliate. Just explain to them that you were duped by the site you signed up with and ask them to give you rakeback on their site. They have the ability to set up a rakeback account on site without you being tracked to an affiliate.

^^ This

I just contacted Carbon the other day and they did this exact thing for me. However i was not linked to an affiliate the way you seem to be.

Yes, you are correct. I initially emailed Carbon’s customer support once I saw the “restricted by bonuses” thing. I got a generic sort of response about needing to earn points to clear the bonus. That’s why I thought I needed to clear those winnings.

Then I posted on Carbon’s online forum and was told by players that there’s a one week period. My winnings from last Saturday’s freeroll has been cleared for withdrawal since, so luckily it looks like I don’t need to clear the bonus.

I’ll try to ask them if they can hook me up with rakeback. Although… the first time I asked them why I was not getting rakeback, they told me my account was not set up for rakeback and sent me to an affiliate sign up kind of site that required credit card payment.

Did they think I wanted to be an affiliate?

Other than the rakeback thing, I really like Carbon so far.

Got an email from Carbon that I’ve been added to their rakeback program! They are definitely trying to cater to customers to attract and keep traffic. Will check it out tonight and see if it’s working. Loving Carbon so far.

That is great to hear. I love it when a company really wants to cater to their customers. This is top notch service IMO. Not like FTP (which I love by the way) who won;t go against the affiliates no matter what.

FTP needs to re write their agreement to state that any affiliate not offering RB needs to either offer it or let the person go.

I for one will be looking into moving my FTP money over to Carbon in the next few days

I just finished up the last of my freeroll tournament tickets. Carbon gives you free entry for 14 days (I was able to play 8 times). Cashed in $70 in 3 of the first 4 tourneys I tried and thought it was easy. But failed to cash in the next 4.

The last three ended the exact same way, a heart break card on the turn takes me out. Was a slight fav. going in twice and big fav once. Faced off against KQ 2x (I had A10 and AQ), and KJ once (I had 88). It really takes a lot of luck to win these freerolls. The Carbon ones are better than the crazy FT and PS ones, but still will depend on luck.

Ah well, Carbon's still the best of the 3 sites I've tried so far. Will probably end up staying here.
