Lately, I've been having difficulty fitting freerolls in my schedule. It seems like whenever a site has one I have something else going on and if I happen to win a freeroll satellite then the tournament I've won into interferes with something.

As a result, I've been looking to increase the number of poker rooms I play at, just so I can check in from time to time and increase the probability there will be a freeroll going on while I'm actually able to play.

So I joined and downloaded BetOnline yesterday and I must say, wow, they have a lot of freerolls. They're mostly $25 and $10 turbo tournaments, but it seems like just about every time I login there is a freeroll happening within the hour.

So far, the only thing I don't like about the site is the fact that you login with a seemingly random number for your username and no way to change it that I can see. So if I lose my username number, then I'm pretty much SOL, because you can't even request it by email - so I'm just saving my username number in an email and have it stickied to my computer. I have my computer set to remember it, but I could still see that being a pain if you lost it. That and I'm not a huge fan of the software, you can't manually type in your bet from what I can tell - but eh, I'll work with what I can get.

One of the shadiest sites on the internet. Enjoy the freerolls but never consider putting a single dime of your own money on the site. Even if you win the freerolls you may find it extremely difficult to get money off.

If I start to Google BetOnline from my Chrome Browser, one of the "fill-in options" is BetOnline Scams

First off be warned I've only heard bad of betonlines withdrawing system. People not getting paid, payouts taking huge amounts of time ect. But freerolls every hour is something no other site I have seen has and for the most part there pretty soft skill wise. I've cashed many times but never built up enough to withdraw o btw if I remember right they require a min of 50$ withdraw (most r 20$) and they charge per withdraw something I can't stand but I am stuck building a BR from freerolls and have 2 kids so I'm limited on when I can play too. Have u checked out the fun steps sngs on carbon they are going on 24/7 and are free

I don't really trust casino games anywhere, but thanks for the heads up.

That said, I will keep my eyes peeled overall with BetOnline. Now that I've looked deeper, there seems to be a lot of questionability with the site. It is funny now that you all mention it, I was in a game and got in a betting war with another player (and won the hand!) but another two players were joking in the chat "Oh, look another bot battle" or something like that. Then I go searching around and it seems like the idea they're running bots is very suspicious - I don't really know if that's the case, but I'll watch my step with them.

I've got one last freeroll, I'm going to play there and then I think I'm just going to call it quits with the site. Now that I've seen such overwhelming support against them, I don't think it's worth my time.

I hate their software anyways...I'll stick with ACR and Juicy.

Cobra i highly recommend going with bovada, guaranteed tourneys have a low buy-in compared to other sites, As for the anon tables it was weird at first but now im used to it.

Maybe not.
Try doing a search here on Cardschat for threads pertaining to Betonline poker site & see what you come up with.
Then try doing a search on google.
(bots are the least of your worries on there)

Save yourself the hassle and avoid this site completely. Even though they have nice and convenient free roll schedules this is a very shady poker room.

It is very shady... I have won the $10 free-roll and placed a few times.... I even started to build a BR but just like a few of you have already said it seems that at some crucial moments the software crashes and i mean it happens alllllll the time. Pokerhost has FR's Juicy has a few and Lock has their 100seats to the 100k every saturday. Just a Few to mention.

I've been wondering why BOL always suddenly stops and says "your connection has been lost"... it's not always at crucial moments but there have been times where it was a crucial moment such as the KK raise mentioned. I've noticed that when it happens, it's only BOL. None of my other programs running are affected by this supposed "bad connection". I don't know if that is shady or just low quality software but judging by the responses to this thread, shady seems to be the verdict since noone has posted anything to defend the site.

The only bad thing i've heard on Bet Online is they are slow to do a bank wire, and sending out checks is the best way to go.
As for the "bad connection" i've had it show up on a few sites, some poker sites take more bandwidth Vs other poker sites. I was playing on both PS and FTP and lost the connection to FTP but PS was still going, Also if you've got more then one PC and someone else is online watching a movie you could also get a bad connection.

It's the software thats a total pos, I've had Bo,merge and acr and have no serious issues from them, The only other site that lags and freezes alot is juicy but its not as bad as bol.
