I am writing this because the community should be informed. I am not looking for any sympathy nor what you think I should've done differently. First, a little background.

Several years ago juicy stakes implemented a playing and withdrawal system that can only be described as extortion. The amount of play required to withdrawal the maximum of $1k would've taken me upwards of one year one check. I had a five figure balance somwhere around $11-12k stuck on there at the time. Had I actually played long enough to withdrawal one check I would've racked up a lot more than my current balance. I spent a lot of time and effort trying to come up with ways to get my money off the site. I even began a plan to flip all-in SNGs to accumulate points towards a withdrawal that way. I had done the math on how long it would take to complete. It would've taken forever with no guarantee I would've been paid out. I moved onto bargaining with management. I decided to go I as far as to offer them half my balance if they paid me out in full. They said no. Obviously a grim situation.

The other day I logged in with the unlikely hope that the Juicy Stakes withdrawal policy had changed. I noticed my cashier was $0. I looked in my transaction history and saw a withdrawal for the full balance in May.

I opened up their online support chat and asked them about it. They claimed I hadn't logged in in one year and their TOC stated a player idling for such a period resulted in full confiscation of funds. The rule pasted into chat had to do with logging in, not playing. They told me they weren't responsible for notifiying players. They also stated they sent me emails about my idle activity and the withdrawal. I did not receive one email. I had logged in four months prior to my money being stolen. I asked them for the log file showing my last login. They did not provide me with that. The senior adviser on shift, Peter, said he would forward the conversation to management who would get back to me in 24-48 hours. I received no response in that time. I thought back to all my time and effort put into this situation and made one last attempt. I informed them my plan to go public on every possible site I could if they did not restore my balance and immediately process a withdrawal within 24 hours.

Unfortunately these things happen frequently in these smaller and more dubious rooms. And unfortunately still, almost always the player leaves at a loss because he can not recover his funds.

Anyway, I wish you all the best to try to get your money back.

That's why most small rooms end up closing up shop. There are very few that you should consider dealing with... the same issue exists with online sports books.

tough to recover funds at some of the off shore poker rooms. they run on their own rules. hopefully they respond with a solution, but otherwise do as you have and post and tell everyone you can about it.

Are intertops and Juicy Stakes owned by the same entity or are they separately owned? I know they are both on the Revolution Network and I would be very surprised if they are in fact owned by the same entity that you are getting scammed/played here since Intertops is a reputable brand that has been around a while.

Why did you choose to play here and not on Intertops by the way? Was all this money won playing poker?

That is a shady situation, I have heard nothing but bad things about Juicy Stakes so I have avoided it at all costs. Isn't Juicy on the same network as Intertops?

Yep, they are both on the Revolution poker network and I agree with mk0523, if you want to play on that network (Revolution), you should really choose Intertops, they have been around for about 20 years and have a good reputation.

I don't know if that would help, because obviously they just don't have the money to pay you, but I would look in each and every corner of my computers to proof evidence that I WAS logged in during that time. There are handhistory folders, logfiles, sth would come up and I would involve a lawyer, who works for the half you offered

Just to be devil's advocate this is your first post and you didn't include any proof, so don't know what to think about it. Also any update since you posted this?

He hasn't logged in (for several months) since his first post, so you won't get an answer.

just to say that i'm starting to experience troubles with Intertops, my 2 last payment requests has been denied without a reason (in the past they had explained the reasons) i sent and email last monday and still i have not received any answer.
if they don't say anything until next monday, i'll have to add Intertops to my black list.

If you have won any money in freeroll, then they will say that you have not generated enough rake.

i know that and by the way i have received that message in the past, also i received some payments, but during this last week i have not received any reason and i'm almost sure i have qualified for payments in term of rake generated. the problem is i have still not received any excuse.

Every site has there own rules with promotions and points required with free roll winnings with the fine print. This story agree is shady in with a 11K bankroll you would atleast play some high stakes games to accumulate the necessary points.

It's tough to find factual and objective reviews of poker rooms. Cardschat provides a 4 out of 5 Star review of Juicy Stakes at: https://www.cardschat.com/juicy-stakes.php but doesn't mention withdrawal policies at all. I would tend to agree that bigger is probably better as some here have suggested, but then that didn't stop Black Friday from happening which shutdown two of the world's biggest poker rooms overnight.

The Juicy Stakes policy entitled "ABANDONMENT OF ACCOUNT BALANCE" does seems draconian, but to their credit it is actually posted in their Terms and Conditions at: https://www.juicystakes.eu/terms-and-conditions
16. ABANDONMENT OF ACCOUNT BALANCE: If You do not access Your Account by "logging in" to Your account using Your e-mail and password for a period of three hundred and sixty five (365) days, Your Account will be closed and the entire Account Balance and all promotional items including all of Your referral bonuses will be deemed abandoned and forfeited (should the Juicy Stakes management decide to grant restoration of your account balance, then you will need to accumulate a net rake corresponding to the full balance that has been credited back to your account before a withdrawal request can be made.); provided however, that this requirement for login and entry is not and does not constitute any condition whatsoever for You to play any game, deposit funds, or participate in any activity at the Sites other than logging in.

These types of rules and player reports do quite a bit to hurt the reputation of poker, and gaming in general.
