No actually. The thing is that in online poker you see far more flops than in live poker hence why it gives off that feeling of seeing more straights than pairs. Either that, or you had a short-term session where wet boards were common.

at showdowns, you see more straights because they are more likely the nuts. but pairs can be pushed off more easily by bluffs or better hands.

Well call me crazy but I always thought the same. But not like in a online-poker-is-rigged way but in general poker hand rankings. I believe that making a straight or a flush, is more common than hitting a set or two pairs.
