Wish I knew how to make a poll, but just curious.

So much water under the bridge, but everyone has their beloved FTP back after so long without it

Does it feel like the old FTP or does it feel like the nostalgia love was just rose colored glasses and the old saying "YOU CAN NEVER GO BACK HOME" ring true.

Played alot yesterday and it's pretty much the same as it was. Still a big fan and will probably move most of my play there now. Only thing I don't like so far is that the player names are in light blue font in the tourney lobbys. WHYYYYYYY?

This is a question you could've asked someone right after B.F. because the site changed a fair bit then (this is from standpoint of Tourney &/or SNG-MTT player)
ie. tournament guarantees dropped by ~ 66%
tourney times were changed (many were moved back ~6hrs.)
satellites changed a bit (less entrants, some removed)
low buyin SNG play seemed quite a bit different (higher % of fishy players per table/game)

There were alot of things I liked about the old Fulltilt which made it my #1 choice of all online pokersites.
In one day back on the tables there, my feelings so far is > it's alot the way I remember it. Lobbys will take a bit of getting used to (ie. tourney start times, when certain satties are running, etc.) & a couple small things I actually don't like (the bet-slider has some great features... ie. you can preset buttons to be whatever you want (ie. for MTT play, 2.1x 2.5x & 3x < or whatever you want) BUT something I'm not liking about it is > dragging the slider over to 'allin'... sometimes I can accidentally mess this up a bit... & find one needs to be certain it's gone all the way over to 'allin'. I can see this being a potential problem with alot of tables running & occassionally messing this up).

Looking through the Tournament lobbys this morning at games running. Some of the familiar $26 buyin tourneys are already getting some decent number of entrants in them, prizepools are already over $10,000 to $12,000 which is a good sign imo (these used to be 15k to 32k, but as high as 40k at FTP's peak (not including METs). There's actually a $26 mtt (12:00 ET) that has almost $19k prizepool! that's a great sign!

I see some METs in the lobby (but not tons of them). ie. a $5 KO MET that started at 10:20(ET) today had 1,468 entrants in it (prizepool of $5,872). The guar. had been set at $2,500 so I imagine we'll see these guar's going up considerably over the next few weeks.

Gonna scan this lobby a bit more here, get off the cash tables & fire up some donkaments.

cliffs:
yah. Looks good so far. Not disappointed. meets expectations & maybe even exceeds them a bit.

Great to have FTP back - the best platform by far...i notice though the cash results aren't showing on pokertableratings - probably because they're now owned by Stars (who's stats are also blocked from the tracking site) - anyone know if I can get session stats from cash games on FTP anyway? Surely i can request it from somewhere? Any advice much appreciated! :)

I'm enjoying FT being back, most things about the software are pretty much the same in my eyes, looking around the lobby is like oh yeah I remember now you can do that.

It's nice to have a bigger choice of games back than I have had lately but thats probably because I have a small BR on Tilt

The 'experts' are back on there too making smart arse remarks on peoples play then going on tilt due to bad beats, hell even the ridiculous bad beats are the same and at the minute I'm just smiling at them, that won't last long though.

FullTilt was not my number one, pokerstars was, but was and is solid second.

I ma very happy to see it back - love to use my LOST and now FOUND $77.25 :)

Myself I really like the rush on demand quick games - you can basically play any time - do not have to wait / schedule your time around games. And it is decent pay and exciting (not the highest quality poker game - but it is fun)

The other thing i really liked at Fulltilt - I think they have by far the best steps games. Unfortunately at the moment it does not have as many players as it used to. Hope it will pick-up.

Overall HIP HIP HURRAY :)

do they have step tournaments structured the same way Carbon does?

I didn't know they offered those.

Check it out - I think they are WAY WAY better...

Huge range of games offered to play the step in... ie - short table - fulltable - multitable / regular - turbo - hyperturbo / NLHE - Omaha

and If I remember correctly - when you reach level 3 - you can use your ticket to reg in any MTT wit same buy -in - do not have to stay in steps.

Yah I really liked these too. My preference was the $8 18man SNG (reg. speed, but turbo too) for the $26 token. Have also noticed that they're not filling up so far.

I also did a bit of a challenge at one time... set aside $50, in an attempt to get as many step3 ($26) as possible, starting with $50. Played the 90man SuperTurbo to start out with (Step0). (I noticed they changed these in the lobby already, they were 90mans, now they are 33man with Top10 winning Step 1 ticket).
I managed to pick up 10x $26 tickets!!! (although it was a long & gruelling journey to get to those 10 tickets, lol.. but worth it at the time > $50 > $260). Unfortunatly I blanked all 10 tickets, actually going out a couple spots off the bubble with the very last one, LOL. (all for nothing! lol... if I'd even just min-cashed that last one, I would've at least broken even on the whole venture.. which seemed alot better than 'zero' at the time).

I'm looking forward to when these step games are in full swing again.

Another satty I used to play was that 2,500 ftp to the Sun $750k guar. But I'd also play the super satellite SNG to it > a 650ftp entry, 9man SNG (reg. speed), 1st & 2nd both won 2,500ftp 3rd got 850. Play in this was super loose & spazzy! Ez money... err.. 'pts.' lol. Bought a few items of clothing and some hats with some of those pts.
Kinda wondering what to do with my ftps. right now? I wasn't playing much after BF and don't have many saved. Maybe I buy a ticket to the $22-DoubleDeuce? My partner has Platinum Edge status with close to 20,000 ftp. I guess I'll just be jealous as I watch her playing the games I want to play in, lol.

Yah.. I'm excited about Fulltilt running. Can you tell?

Those 'Deal Me In' freerolls might be worthwhile playing this weekend when they get up to $10,000 each freeroll. Up til' now I've cashed for the big $1.25 and have actually played a half-dozen of them already. :(

gl on there vegasjj. Hope to see you on a final table this weekend... maybe the DoubleDeuce? ;)

ive been scanning the higher buyin ring games to see if there is any big stack poker being played. The traffic is not bad and there are some $25-$50 stake no limit games that run on and off. I find it entertaining to watch some of these in my free time.

Got back into it a couple of days ago and so far so good. Made around $30 profit on PL Omaha 0.05 / 0.1 Rush tables and made around $10 from the Deal Me In Freerolls so far. It feels like it has never been away. Maybe I will change my mind if the tables turn against me but no complaints so far.

I too have been wondering what's the best thing to do with my points. Bought a double deuce ticket already but the MiniFTOPS tickets are better value so I'll probably spend the rest on those. Hope they put up the schedule soon so I can decide which tickets to go for. Enjoying it so far and haven't played anything on any other site since the 6th.

I've played in 5 of 'em and cashed $1.50. LOL DONKAMENTS. But yeah, this weekend $5k and $10k should be good... still need to rungood of course but the time commitment actually makes it somewhat worth it now.

I'm also wondering what to buy and take advantage of the Full Tilt Store sale... I'm leaning towards a few $75 tourney tix as it's the best value for pts in my affordable range and trying to cash in some SNG matrix games...

Was making a good run in rush but called against quad 8s with a full boat and crashed and burned:(

I think I was reading the other day they've come straight back in at the number two slot (behind Stars) in terms of player numbers.

So yeah, it feels just like it did in the months before the shutdown to me.

It's sorta depressing even reading this thread. Miss FTP. Would be nice if the DOJ could arrange to pay back US players without red tape. Why won't they just send us a check? If nothing has changed since I last read on this subject, it seems the DOJ is "banking" on many US players not requesting their money at all. I haven't but I'm unsure of how to do it in the first place. Is there a website or something the DOJ has set up or an address to mail your claim?

For choice of game selection PokerStars will always have my number one vote but I do like FTP and it's definitely worth playing on in my opinion. Been playing the Rush tables since Tuesday and it's a lot of fun.

Impressed with the easy navigation of the lobby and happy with the new 'Edge' reward scheme. Emails look slick and grabs your attention.

Had to email support to reactivate my old account and they dealt with it efficiently, overall very happy and glad that it's back.
