Their lobby is nice, tables are bland yet playable, and they atleast portray themselves as the safest site for US players.

The downside, however, is the player and game volume is laughable.

I have been playing there freerolls and I'm up to 6$ but I haven't played there ring game's or cash sit n gos yet but so far seems alright. When I reach 10$ I'll play some cash games then try to run it up to 150-200$. When I reach that amount I'll try a withdrawal.

For timely and reliable cashouts, which Merge cannot provide. For better-structured tournaments. For fishier pools. Etc.

theres like 400 ppl on during peak hours....

Merge has biggest traffic, 4-6 weeks on payouts (which honestly isnt that bad considering the climate of the u.s. market now) and while there tourny structure might not be the best, still the widest selection as far as U.S. based sites go

plus, there re-opening to U.S players by the end of the month, so player pool will only increase

No, peak is close to 1200 players, and that is only cash games. At a certain point, player liquidity ceases to be nearly as important. And I'll take my payments in < 2 weeks, thank you. (or < 1 week by WU on Everleaf)
