I have been playing Plo25 (40bb), mostly 2-3tabling.
I'm like + $100 on this month!!
Should i be taking silver freeroll here, or medals?

This is a question you should be able to answer for yourself.

I always take the medals after playing just one of the one-point-a-day freerolls, but that's just me. I've never reached Silver status, but would think the Silver freeroll wouldn't be as much of a donkfest as the one-a day or the Bronze.

 wow your points!

Makes me wonder how many hours you spent / allocated each day for playing poker?

Hopefully i do well and cash big $$ :)
And i'm playing like 1-2hours/ day.
Sometimes 4-6hours of play, when i got time and nothing else to do.

FereZ, congrats on ironman achievment!
About the question you posted, if you go under Poker Discussion > Poker Rooms, you'll notice that on the stickys there's this thread https://www.cardschat.com/forum/poker-rooms-10/iron-man-use-its-free-172645/.
Check the link on the answer to "What are Iron Man Medals?", it's underlined/clickable with the name "value of Iron Man", nice details, nice comparison medals vs freerolls vs tokens.
But there's something you should pay attention to, when they compare to tokens on that link, i get the idea that you could exchange the token for dollars with just a 5% deduction from Full Tilt, but now it seems they are not tokens anymore, they are tickets, so you can't convert to dollars. I read this somewhere, but can't recall where. If you wanna know more about this token/ticket thing, just search it up, I bet there's plenty more info around.

Take the freeroll. Even considering the hit to rakeback, it's still more valuable than the extra medals unless you're a terrible NLH tournament player (or you just can't play it on that day, of course). Plenty of sitters, you'll at least get min cash most of the times.

I played the silver freeroll by collecting 50 points 25days last month. Managed to cash $22.50. Alot of sitters like people said previously in this thread.

yeah....i like the medals here for sure... plus when you have consecutive months I think you get more of a bonus...whereas you dont get more freerolls haha...dont quote me on that though...you can actually buy bonuses and $26 tickets etc with em.....

He could have easily had the straight or 7/7+ or a set.
You're lucky he had top pair with an open-ended straight draw as you get it in in a *lot* worse shape a lot of times there.

I have heard that the value of the freerolls far outweigh the value of the extra medals but this is assuming that you can a)make the freerol and b) have a half decent understanding of tournament play.

Ironman

I have a Full Tilt account with rakeback

maybe I am mistaked but I thought that any bonus including
Ironman that I qualify for/get, including goods
from the FT store is deducted from my rakeback
which makes it pointless trying to qualfy for them?

Can anyone confirm if I am right about this?

thanks :)

Can't confirm you're right because you're actually wrong. It's deducted from your MGR, so only 27% of it is deducted from your rakeback, and you still get 73% of the value of any promotion.
