Intertops wants me to rake money won in private freerolls

I won arround 45 $ in private freerolls on intertops (cardschat+jackpotfreerolls)

Now i tryed to cash this out to my neteller account and received following email:

Thank you for choosing Intertops Poker.
This email is to inform you that your payout in the amount of US$ 45 via Netteller has been declined due to the following reason:
The stipulations on your Freeroll cash winnings of have not been met
Please see an excerpt of the rule below:
Terms and Conditions for Intertops Poker Freerolls:
50% of the Freeroll cash winnings have to be turned over as gross rake, before a player is eligible to withdraw these funds.
You are required to accumulate a total of US$ 22.62 in Gross rake and need a further US$ 22.62 before your payout can be processed.
We wish you best of luck on the tables.

Now i find this very questionable since i won that money in PRIVATE freerolls there. There is not a single cent intertops contributed to the prizepool


So basically its fair to say that from every 100 $ cardschat freeroll, 50 % goes to intertops sooner or later as a rake. That seems not right to me and looks a bit like robbery since they are only the host of those tournaments.


Any opinions/thoughts? Cheers.

I also do not like this rule, but I play.

I think what happens is, in these so called private tournaments, Cardschat and Jackpot provide the prize money, and the poker rooms let players use their platforms for free, that's why they ask the winnings to be used in raked games until 100% the rake is received.

That, in itself is understandable, but if they are asking players to generate rake equal to 50% of the total amount of money they won in freerolls, that is a huge ripoff because if Cardschat and Jackpot would simply pay the rake on the prize money in advance, that would only account to maximum 10%.

Hell i won few dollars(CC freeroll) and it wont let me do anything with it. No cash games no nothing. Very ridiculous to even allow players to play( who havent deposited) then if you cannot do anything with winnings. why i wont being going back

You are confounding my humble post with a scientific paper, my friend . It was just an opinion based on common sense, I do not possess any first hand information on how the Cardschat or Jackpot prizes are allocated or handled.

Since you are an old Cardschat member and a Guide on the Forum, why don't you ask one of the Administrators about it, I don't think it should be such a big secret if Cardschat provides all the prize money for it's tournaments or if it also pays rake or not.

I can't use the money I won in the Freeroll either.

hello its 100 usd you play 50 usd or rake 50 usd. if rake 50 usd its play atleast 500 usd.

You can use the winnings to play in other tournaments - send me your username and email address and I can get that fixed.

I can not assist anyone with withdrawals - so please don't contact me about that.

I too had that issue when I won $21 in CC celebration freerolls on Intertops. I used the sports betting and turned that into $100+ and one night I was drunk and all went into Casino.
I was not hoping to cash it out so no regrets.

It is normal that the rooms charge rake, is the gain they have for their services, what I do not agree is that they limit the profits of the freerools

This is why I no longer play on Intertops. It is the only site that has those ridiculous withdrawal restrictions.

I can understand why poker sites apply restrictions for player-player transferred funds or deposit bonuses to control for money laundering and bots but to have freeroll winnings locked up is ridiculous to me and doesn't make the site attractive to beginner recreational players at all!

They might as well just not offer freerolls and focus on different promos if they're so worried about hemorrhaging money.

I agree that it is necessary to winnings from freerolls to win back (after room provides its software)And many rooms do this! But this is about 10% and not from private freerolls! 50% is robbery!

I agree about them not even allowing players to play if you havent made a deposit. To lock up your winnings is absurd telling you you have to deposit to play with money you won off a freeroll. Probably why they dont have much traffic to begin with. No open freerolls for everyone. They dont want players there not depositing!!! Havent heard anything back from Deb so havnt even checked in there to see if they unlocked it for her. just not interested in being forced to deposit unless im wanting to withdraw.

50% rake is robbery. Try using them for betting.

To be honest i think its completly fine if a poker room not lets you play for real money untill u deposited at least one time and verified ur account.

Ok so then dont allow someone to play there, free rolls or otherwise unless they have deposited, Problem solved!!

Yes exactly. Pokersites should not allow players who are not verified to participate in games where real money is involved.

I won some prize in Intertops, or BetOnline, not sure, and when I had over $200 I tried to cash out, and occurred something like this situatiion. I gave up and spent it all.

Intertops is a big scam they do everything in there power not to let people cash out they have always been like that then you have to send them all types of information to even be able to play on the real money table they just make it hard on everybody to play on there site that's why they don't have that many players

This is why hardly anybody plays there. They make it next to impossible to get cash outs. They are always asking to resend documents till they wear you out.

I don't play on this server, I think I already play on several, but it is always good to start on another, everything is relative, everyone has their own tastes.

If one require poker sites give all the money that they earn from freerolls, then most of poker sites will close freerolls.

If there is nothing to help business, no one want to do. Those players only play freerolls do not help their business. So, rake 50% of money won from freerolls is fair for me.
