Have you seen them recoup any (traffic wise) since lock left and juicy and intertops opened traffic between their skins completely? I was curious on this from someone who plays on the sites....although If I recall you didn't find it too bad in the game types your usually playing on there right (was DON's last i recall)
Not much improvement, although they keep promising improvements in traffic. Most times when I get a chance to play these days, they have ~750 players online.
Yeah DONs were my bread & butter, but the stakes I play barely run on Intertops. Virtually no SNGs at all in the $15-$30 stakes that I prefer, and only the occasional $15 6-max DON runs. I used to be able to 8-table these before segregation happened, now I'm lucky to have 2-3 tables running. Often I get on and wait for an hour for 1 table to open. It's pretty sad. The $1 and $3 games often run, but I can't be bothered with those, they aren't worth my time. I've played and cashed in a few small tourneys, some that fail to make their overlays, but I'd much rather play SNGs. I've even dabbled in returning to cash games, but haven't made the jump yet.
Many are wondering why they didn't open back up to the rest of the network after Lock left. They eventually joined up with Juicy but haven't gone any farther. I'm guessing they're a bit more careful now about trusting just any skin on the network after what Lock did. Others may try to emulate Lock after they got away scot-free without paying millions in reconciliation to Revolution.
I do not know if Lock Poker, caused some damage at Intertops liquidity, I made some minor withdrawals this year and everything was OK!
We're talking about player liquidity, not financial liquidity. And Lock absolutely damaged Intertops and every other Revo site. Lock is the sole reason why player segregation occurred, which hurt ever skin's liquidity. A number of smaller skins closed and the entire network was in jeopardy all thanks to Lock refusing to pay reconciliation. Fortunately for Intertops, their primary business is on the sportsbook/casino side, not poker, so they could weather the storm.
But yes, their withdrawals and customer service is great, which is why I vote them the best US-facing site (for those US players that have access).
