I downloaded intertops and my virus immediately said it found a trojan and removed it.

Am I going to have trouble? It seems like the client is working.

I play five years in Intertops. No problem. I think the antivirus responds to the client's notifier. If you have frequent failures, just install the client again.

Probably a false positive.

I played for a bit and had no problems, so whatever it removed seems to be non-essential.

I downloaded intertops software as well and my antivirus said it had a virus, i ignored it and I've been playing for a while on this poker site and I haven't had a problem.

As mention above a false positive with most AV. I have used it with no issues.

Seems like this is a recurrent post and I should have searched for it before I made a thread of my own. Could these all be combined in a thread of software issue problems for Intertops?

Had the same problem when installing. Comodo complained about something. It's weird that they still can't fix this issue by sending complains to the Antivirus so they review this.

Some of the versions will trigger it, some wont. Thats what I heard it to called, false positive. Though starts to make you question how many (true negatives are making it thru LOL). Intertops has a solid rep. I mentioned in another tops thread, If it were Johns Poker then I might be a lot more weary

Intertops safe?

When I went to install this AVG flagged a threat and sent it to quarantine. The program looks like AVG just removed it and is no longer on my puter. Is it infected with something called Alexa?

I've noticed that the Intertops PC App requires high level access. So technically it could be used to compromise your PC (if bad actors are on the other end). It also attempts every time you launch it to place a "Auto Start" in the registry for the CPN Notifier. It also accesses the internet using the Rundll32 (high level). You can quit all of these running Processes using the Task Manager (INTERTOPSNotifier.exe ... rundll32.exe) after launching but you won't get access to the Cashier. Hope this helps...

Oh and when you shut down the app it again tries to edit the registry to make IntertopsNotifier.exe run next time you login (startup) you can manually change this with msconfig.exe.

Tonight UFC 243 I have $3.00 on Israel A to WIN! Place your bet on Intertops (I did). :)
