Has anyone played on intertops?

I was wondering if it is a small site
on a small network and is it safe?

Someone recommended it to me and
I am thinking of giving it a go and would
be grateful for any thoughts?

thanks

I downloaded their software two months ago. I didn't like it at all. I deleted it and play on feltstars and bodog now.

As for why, well the interface is unorganized and weak. The play is choppy and doesn't flow well like the other sites I mentioned.

intertops is a skin of cake poker. never had a problem with software like poster above stated, cake skins run pretty well on my computer. they promote gold cards and gold chips as comps on their sites so a little different then other poker rooms. traffic there is a lot smaller than full tilt and stars so in general the play there is soft in comparison.

I would STRONGLY advise against it.... INTERTOPS is run on the Cake Network... a network that has been steadily dying off over the past yr+. At the end of this month, 'DoylesRoom' will also be leaving the Cake network which willl add to the 'decrease' in player traffic.
Here's an example:
If you're hoping to play a STT/SNG, you might be waiting for 5mins. for it to fill up.. maybe longer. And if you ever hope to multi-table them.. good luck!
I went on there recently, looking to see if I could play a MTT/SNG.. not gonna happen. THe 30plyr. SNG in the lobby had 1 player reg. & waiting & an hour later it still had 1 player...same guy!
THe number of entrants in their MTT's are almost like playing a SNG (60-100 entrants).
I've had problems on Cake with the site freezing up on me at critical times (ie. bubble play of a $55 Turbo MTT... when you really can't afford to miss out on one hand!). THe last few times I've played on there they didn't seem to have this problem anymore.
So.. why did I play on there(recently)? A friend of mine from CC here was entering a MTT on Victory Poker (also on Cake) so I went in same tourney from Doyles (& then loaded up a few more at the same time).

Again, I would strongly recommend for you to NOT go depositing on that site for many reasons. If you can get some free money on there... what the hell.. but if you're stuck playing there.... yeckk! It sucks!

lol i do not like that all bad talks about cake yes they are smaller but biggest reason is leaving players only and rest of their skins there are a lot of new poker rooms on cake some only euro with sportsbook who will bring new players with their good promos yes they will not be big as before but now there are same like merge only with dealt rake and with probably less fish

I thought it was because all of the guarantees have dropped off considerably and because there's been little improvement with the software on there for awhile now. Seems to me that most of the MTT players have lost interest in playing on that site??? I've played a few low buyin MTTs lately & field size is about the size of a MTT-SNG (90players). That'd be okay if that's what a person is interested in (I actually get tired of the monster fields at times) but they really are lacking in player traffic imo. (ie. for SNG players, how often would they be able to load up 6-8 tables at a time?.. probably never. I've found you have to wait 5+mins. just for one table to open up. Not my idea of a good site to play on... not for me anyways.

"Bad talk"... I'm not looking at it that way. What I've stated is my feelings about the site based on my own experience & from what I've heard & read from many others (wondering why Lee Jones has left the Cake network?)

Intertops poker is Masters at doing the Wrong things

I had played a freeroll at Intertops poker last night; there were 8 tickets to be won for that specific tournament with various increasing degrees of prize value.

There were aprox 250 participants and the game ran for a few hours before the final table was established.

At that point I had accumulated 123,245 chips and had just over a 3 to 1 chip lead among the remaining 9 players when the site started to have technical problems.

We were kept waiting for aprox 40 minutes and then were notified with the following automated message from Intertops:

********** Dear players,
Tournaments have now been canceled and remaining player will be paid out based on the tournament cancelation policy. Our sincere apologies for this inconvenience ************

I contacted the support team at Intertops poker and informed them that my account was not credited with anything and had asked them to look into why this was happening.

Well to make a long story short,

I was informed by their support staff that they did not compensate individual who are involved in freerolls

Even though there were only 2 players left before all 8 tournament tickets were going to be paid out.

Not only did they screw myself of the most likely top prize, but they screwed everyone who had played and battled to make it to the finals.

Instead of either giving everyone at the table a min prize ticket for making it to the final table or assigning all 8 prizes by the chip count of each players chip stack.

This is a low class poker site, not worth your time or energy to play at.

Learn from my experience……… or NOT…… lol
