Installing the 888poker Desktop Client Error

Dear sir,

Can you help me out with an issue I am having installing the 888poker client? I download the installer, which in turn starts downloading the files, but then before the installation can proceed I am hit with an error. I am attaching a screenshot of the error here.

Do you perhaps already have the software installed, I recently tried to open my 888 software after a long time without using it and it would never open correctly for me after going through an update process multiple times .... I ended up having to uninstall it and then download the installer and set it up again.

I did just run a google search on your error and found a thread on the 888 forum, which basically sounds like it requires a clean removal and reinstall as you may have the software installed already and its trying to update a version that is too outdated for the installer (my theory lol).

You could try contacting support as well as it indicates in the message your receive, but this is the 888 thread for reference as i had only skimmed through it.

hello plz i need help to fix my problem . i had 888poker in my pc and it was workin fine . Then i deleated it , and after some days i tryied to reinstall it. But after it makes the instalation it says (404 IT was not found) and it closes , cant let me in.. :(

Unfortunately in the same situation LavaStorm, not able to get it working anymore.

I'm fine, when installing does not give an error.

A "404 Error" usually indicates a website URL is no longer available.
Most likely the version you are installing attempts to hit a web address 888poker is no longer using. the previous installed version probably ran an update that directed your client software to the new, now correct URL.


Most likely a complete uninstall and a reinstall using a freshly downloaded installer will fix the issue.

I did fix this problem now . But next problem arises , i click on cashier and it opes an error window.. So it does not let me withdraw or deposit.. :/
