I Suddenly cant play poker for some reason every move i make is suddenly wrong yet i keep gettin lucky it is shamefull.

Sure i go into a lot of pots ahead but the ones im behind i keep winning and it is really affecting me. I dont want my game to go bck dwnhill after the improvmentss ive made.

Ive dropped buy in in the gmes i play recently and i think tht has had an effect plays tht work in a 26$ mtt dont work at 5$ one so should i move bck to higher buy ins or continue and get game right for the lower buy ins:confused:

It sounds to me like you realize there are more effective strategies at one level vs another. That doesn't necessarily equate with bad play. Maybe it's just good observation and strategy implementation.

I went through this a couple weeks ago. I was just getting dominated by rich college tourist kids that didn't know what they were doing and it seemed like I was throwing money away, in live play. Well, not exactly, I kept making the right moves, get hand in best on flop/turn, and just end up losing eventually, right. Seems like you're never going to win a pot. At this point, when you're thinking like that, take a break for a couple days Stef. You can't play poker scared that you'll lose every hand, or expecting every 2-outer to hit against you on the river. I know you don't want to, but you should take a break.

(However, I know at this moment, you're playing in a rebuy tourney at Stars and doing well, so what do I know.)

It is quite true that "slick" plays don't work in low stakes tourneys. U hardly ever try to run a bluff in a cheap buy im MTT until later in the play, 'cuz at early blind levels many of these players will chase with ATC. Except for the occasional position steal and the like, I try to play pretty straight up. Play your strong hands strong, though, and chasers will work to your advantage.
