Not looking for pitty, I've been a long time lurker, and this is my first post. Been playing poker online and live for about 13 years, seen many bad beats! Some have been to my advantage, and of course they hurt me. I've always been one to think online poker wasn't rigged, I believe in variance until this happened last night on 2.50/5.00. I bought in for 400. I was up about 3k. The one hand that sticks it to me goes like this. I'm small blind and I get AK. Dealer raises to 30, I 3 bet to 90. Big blind calls the 90. Dealer raises to 270. I shove all in for 800 more. Big blind goes all in for the rest of his chips I think it was 600 more for them. Dealer calls, we had about the same ammount of chips. So I have AK, big blind shows 23off suit. Dealer shows AK as well. Flop comes 2 Q 3, the turn another 3. River doesn't even matter. Big blind hits a boat with 2 3 in a pot they had no point being in.

You never know what the other players are thinking and I see that kind of pour play all the time.

That is a gamble play, not a strategy / odds play at all.

Maybe he has the money to burn and does not care. or like some players i know, when they have a favorite hand, they always play it regardless .

Tilt, gambling, drunk, favorite hand, who knows...

either way, odds were in your favor pre-flop. he got lucky is all really.

I would not call it rigged though. I see that sloppy calls and lucky hits all the time.
