If you only had $6 on bodog, how would you spend it?

I placed 4th on last week Sunday's freeroll, and won a modest $6.00. This is the second time I cashed. The first time I got in the money, i played on fixed limit tables ($0.05/$0.1), managed to carry it up to $5, and then lose it all. This time, I did the same thing (except I didn't win anything, and rather, I was always diving deeper and deeper). I lost a lot, and was left with $2.00, and decided to continue playing until I lost all. I was thinking back, and I thought I should have joined a NL SnG that I 'could have' afforded.

I don't usually like playing Fixed Limit Hold'em, but I just couldn't afford the blinds at even the lowest NL tables.

How would you have invested the $6.00?

(I know $6.00 isn't much, but I have to treasure it, because I don't have a method of depositing)

Instead of using the whole $6 to play cash games and tourneys i would keep playing the freerolls until i get a decent bankroll of around $20. This way if i play the low limit games and lose a fraction of my bankroll i would still have plenty of money to rebuild it with.

You might want to consider the $4.40 "Beginner" Sit-N-Gos bodog offers. The top 5 finish in the money, so play particularly tight in the beginning, and you should give yourself a decent shot at building your bankroll. The payout is 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 so even if you come in 5th, all you're down is the juice.

I recently made 3.75 in the freeroll at bodog and i played the fixed limit to get it to about 6.00, then i started playing 2.00 beginner tournaments. The payouts suck, but it is EXTREMELY easy to place and I have gotten my bankrool up to 58 dollars there. I occasionally play cash games, but I play nervous since i could easily lose 10 dollars in one hand. I think I will continue to play the beginner tourneys until I have over 150 or so, then I can think about playing the ring games. I have played a few of the 4.00 beginner tourneys and the new multi table SnG that they have. It is extremely easy to place in any beginner tourney as everyone that plays in them is just awful. Just wait til you have a hand, go all-in and wait for the donk to call you.

With $6 at Bodog, I would have thrown it on a 2 or 3-way parlay (spreads and over/unders) on either the NCAA or the NBA, but that's just me. Of course, if you don't know squadouche about hoops, probably a good idea to just stick to poker.

Definately the beginner sit-n-go's. They are the best way to build your bankroll while it is small!

Seems like the SnG's are most popular.

If you play really tight on a beginners table you should easily increast thqt $6, the level of play on bodog can be quite low.
