What if they allowed US players back on stars and ftp with a clean slate? You had to make a new account, register, deposit, everything...what would play?

One would assume that you're a much better, smarter player before, so would you play at a higher level than, or would you be more comfortable playing at the same level as you once were?

For me, one thing I'd definitely take advantage of is rake back. I was so sad that I didn't know about it when I first joined the sites and I was losing so much money in rake. And I definitely focus more on cash games than anything. I'd probably start off at 25NL and grind my way up from there. This is a big jump from the 2NL I was playing before, but I don't think it's as big of a jump skill wise. I could be wrong, but I think it's good starting point.

And while I'll always love tournaments and would probably play some for a nice pay day if I can win, I think cash games would be a much more profitable game for me in the long run. My ultimate goal would be to get from 25NL to possibly 200NL and play comfortably at that level. I don't think I could do this for a living, but I would definitely have no problem playing 200NL as a recreational player, with rake back, and trying to reach whatever bonus levels I could like supernova.

Well, there are no special rakeback deals on either stars of ftp anymore. Both have vip level rewards programs, granted on ftp their rewards are achieving a level where you start getting a rakeback.

The games have only gotton tougher over the years so I think most people would like not start any higher than a level they had been playing before, I think for the most part many recreational players probably stopped playing once stars and ftp left the market so combine the chances that they havn't improved their game any with the fact that games have gotton tougher means even if they were a winner at a level previously its possible they might struggle with it on returning.

The biggest question is if it ever happens how nice it would be for all the recreational players to bring the traffic back (mostly ftp as stars still has loads of traffic) and how much would it soften up the games again :D.

Also from what I see around the forum it's not all that easy these days to grind in the 100, 200NL games or at least we have very few members who do and some of our best from what I have seen have only grinded in the 50 and 100NL realm other than maybe 2 or 3 others I can think of ATM. It's a very tough game these days and trying to get into the cash side of things myself again atm can only imagine the amount of work and study and experience it will take to make my way to being a winner at the 25nl or 50nl let along beyond those levels given the knowledge I know some of our members have that are at the 25/50/100 NL levels these days.

It is certainly nice to dream though, and I think the games will certainly soften up some again if it ever happens but I guess the question is will the fish and bad players stick around if they are getting creamed by the now tougher competition?
