Hey all,

I am just wondering what your thoughts are on other poker rooms other than pokerstars and Full Tilt. I plan on being a ring player. What other poker rooms would you suggest that is good for ring games? Ipoker network? Titan Poker? I've heard so much trash about UB and Absolute so I don't think I'll be depositing there.

thanks in advance

I feel there are alot of weak players on bodog.
Not as much traffic/tournaments.
Should not matter to a ring player what stakes are you playing?

Bodog has action at both of those levels pretty much 24hrs a day.
If you are playing during grandpa hours Monday-Friday 5:00a.m.-11:00a.m. the action might be a little thin

LOL - I resemble that remark, except for the hours. I'm a proverbial retired 'grandpa' - but I do my best work late at nite. By 5am the eyelids are just sealing shut until about 10am. I love sleeping while the rest of the world fights rush hour traffic ... :D

Not sure you'll find any site with more options and running tables than Stars and FT. Even at off hours there are numerous NL tables to pick from. On the smaller sites there are fewer tables open at any one time than on the larger sites.

Also, as already mentioned, why would it make a difference? You are playing a ring at a 6 or 9 seat table, not a huge field MTT.

In my personal opinion I would recommend Bodog, however, you need to play by american time and not UK time, as during UK peak times you are swimming with the sharks.

I like playing the badbeat tables at micro sites like intertops, doyles, ect.or possibly merge sites like reeferpoker, carbon.Id shy away from cake and the goldchip network until you have played there some.

If you want to hit a jackpot play the lotto, slot machine, ect . . .
Why pay a high rake especially at the low limit tables?

depends what your looking for in terms of volume... if your playing multiple tables and putting in some time...then IMO your silly for not at least looking at cake just for there rakeback program...

ive been slowing down at bodog.... but theres still some life left in those cash tables... but beware theres some regulars there who dont mind taking stacks haha

i recently moved to pokerstars just for the sheer size of it... you cant help but run into fish..theres just to many people...

now i frequent all three...and if you play at any of them you just may run into me... see ya then and good luck haha

Ipoker and partypoker are great for ring games! Be patient and wait for a nuts-hand. You''ll see, that halve off the table will be limping along, even when you go all inn, there are always some players that can not fold. You don't see that on Pokerstars and FullTilt.

You don't need to play on a ton of different sites. You will be fine if you stick to FT and PS, which IMO are the best 2.
