If I registered to a site such as pokerstars when I was underage, but am now 19 just about, what would happen to my account if I contacted them, and told them about it? I'm afraid if I cash out or something I could get my funds frozen or something

I would make a new account now, transfer all your funds there, and then wait a while before cashing out.

Just an idea.

well Sorry to say this, but you should of knew better when you were underage..
Gr3atness, that would not be such a wise move, they will see two accounts with the same name, calibreeze should of thought of that before he or she even played, well underage...

Then it would be wise to change the name of the underage account to something like John Smith (but something less obvious).

Just e-mail, tell them the situation and they should be fine with it. I think. Might have been better had you done it soon after you'd turned 18 but still. You only have to look at cases like the Annette Oberstad one. She was 15 when she started on Stars, yet now she's pretty much backed by them

she's backed by betfair and she only told stars about what was going on after she was youngest to win a bracelet. it's not like everyone can just e-mail stars and they won't care...

Just create a new name and find a middle man to hold your br for a while and have it transferred to your new one. I know people who have done it.

How would Stars ever know your age? And if you're legal now, I don't think they'll go back and do the math to see if you ever played while you were too young.

I've cashed out several times from PokerStars and they have never asked for any form of ID.

Creating a second account it not legal, and would just be adding fuel to the fire.

But the main Q is did calibreeze win from freerolls, or did calibreeze fund his account.... I know if you don't fund your account on some sites they ask for your ID, prof of your address......

each computer has a file that tells if there was a 2nd account made on the same computer, i think PS has it.

Send it, then let us know what happens, the longer you wait the more your account will be looked at.

As far as I know *no* poker site will accept a payment via PayPal.
What site are you playing on?

Whatever you do, do not create another account.
Maybe they will not notice at time of cashout, if they do say you must have mistyped year by mistake....

This happened to Andy McLoed on poker stars. He was playing underage at PS. Poker Stars found out suspending his account until he was 18. They did not take any of his funds. Just had to wait until he was 18. There is an interview with him, on the Pocket Fives Podcast(subcribed on Itunes), were he discusses this.

Also, do not open a new account, Poker Stars will suspend your account.

A million people have played underage like yourself....From every instance I have seen, PokerStars only cares about your CURRENT AGE

But if you should open another account, you open yourself up to a lot more headache (and generally right about the time you want to cash out). The guys advising you to open another account are giving you ill considered advice.

You can try to email the pokerstars support explaining to them that you are now of age but it might be risky. If this happened to me, I would create a new account and transfer my funds just to be safe.
