I most definitely agree, for most it's all-in re-buy as many as they can it really does get old when your balance is low or in my case 0.00 :icon_blac lol
I agree for live events. They are usually really expensive already, so when they have re-entries and add-ons it makes it quite hard for mere mortals to play them if you don't have enough BR to cover at least 1 rebuy and 1 addon. Otherwise, you are in a big disadvantage to the other players who will play loose until the RB/Addon period is over.
As for online events, you can always find a lower buyin tournament you can afford to play and skip the rebuys events completely.
I hate tournament with re-buy, players are not cares about cards and decisions.
Hate it. If your out, your out! Rebuys are for cash games.
Step #1- buy a poker site.
Step #2- Set up tourneys the way you like.
step #3- make/lose money.
or
Don't play games, structures, formats you don't like.
Seems to me you have more people playing week hands more often early on because they know they can re-buy. That should be a benefit.
Then you have people re-buying which increases the prize pool significantly over what it would have been for a single buy-in. Double benefit!
Disagree 100%.
I think most tournaments should be rebuy or re-entries. Just generates a much bigger prize pool, attracts way more worse players and on top of that the play becomes so bad that profitability becomes much better.
lol at the people saying people play mindless or takes out skill is so far from skill. In fact, it's the complete opposite, if people are going all-in or playing really loose, how is that bad for us? We have many more chances to win chips snd when we do get unlucky pr loose a flip we just rebuy. Secondly, for the better player it gives them more chances of not busting the tournament and accumulating a big stack at the same time. If you feel it gives people more edges who are worse, you're wrong. If you feel it gives people with bigger bankrolls an edge, whilst this is true to some degree, it also means you're playing in games that are above your bankroll as you shouldn't be concerned about firing as many bullets needed in any given tournament you play.
