I made a first deposit on pokerstars earlier this week. Today i suddenly remebered I made an account 2 years ago on stars when I just wanted to learn to play. I checked today to see if its still here, and it is. I never deposited or played any real money games on that first account. Am I in trouble now for having multiple accounts? Is there any way for me avoid from being detected? I don't want to email them, as I heard they freeze your account and possibly take your money :(

Email them right away and explain the situation. I think you'll be way better off doing so, then waiting and hoping it goes undetected.

^^^ this is by far the best thing you can do if what you've posted here is accurate in terms of facts. They will be able to look at both accounts, see that you never played real money with the other one, see that you just opened and made a deposit with the new one, and they will (99.99%) let you slide. What they will likely do is move the funds from your new account to the old account then they will close your new account. But again, if everything you said is accurate about how it all happened, then you really have nothing to worry about and coming clean is the right way to go.

I had the same problem with PS, but I had completely forgotten about the account. They brought it to my attention. But since I hadn't played on that account in quite a while, they had me make a new screen name and moved all monies to that account. I'm not sure if they would've allowed me to keep the new one, but I think they did give me that option. I just didn't really like the new one.

I agree also. I have dealt with PS in the past and they are somewhat good about getting back to you in a timely matter. Plus I don't think they would mind because you are giving them the mula.

Ok.. Heres how I can help.. Before I joined CC I had two accts from same pc.. One was wifes acct and one was mine..

I avoided contacting them because i thought they would think i was multi accounting..

After over A YEAR of not telling them they contacted ME.

I was upfront, honest, regretfull, and apologetic..

Within 20 min I was contacted by support.. I was asked for both my wifes license and as well as mine.

After providing them the necessary information they unlocked my acct and my wifes.. Funds were still there and we were told thank you for our honesty but next time dont hesitate to contact them as there always willing to assist HONEST LOYAL customers..

Hope my experience can assist u in yours

Hello Jamie,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Please note it is against the PokerStars Terms of Service for a player to access more than one account
at our site. Therefore, we have closed your 'TeddyKGB23' account and the account 'Grossberger' is
remaining open as the only PokerStars account you are allowed to use.

Please refrain from creating further duplicate accounts or you may lose your privilege to play at our
site altogether. Be aware that the access to multiple accounts at PokerStars may result in permanent
closure of the accounts involved, as it is a serious violation of our Terms of Service:

http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/tos

If there is anything else we can assist you with, please let us know.

Regards,

Barbara

Subject: Account question

>I was reading through some posts on a forum I belong to and someone had posed a question about
multiple accounts and it made me realize I may be in violation of ToS unknowingly. Years ago I had
made an account to learn to play, and had forgotten that I had that account I don't believe I had ever
had real money on that account. I had forgotten my old account password and couldn't retrieve it due
to my email account having been hacked, so I created a new account on Pokerstars and completely forgot
about the other I since have figured out who got my email password and got it changed. So I guess my
question is what do i need to do to be in compliance with the ToS. I aven't used the other account for
quite awhile and would like to just close that one if I can. I think if I remember the user ID was
TeddyKGB23 but not 100% sure.

I had sent an email to PS, FT, telling them their was more then one computer in the house, they both came back and said it was ok.
So PC you, and the rest can see FT, PS where real nice about it.
Tho i won't post what they said, to keep some from doing up alot of accounts, so they can cheat.

Congrats Grossberger....
