Hi there

Im new here and a relativly inexperienced player but have played enough to realise I hate rebuys. Especially freerolls that have rebuys, that doesnt make them free in my opinion!

Im very limited in my poker room choices as I play on a mobile device but am looking to invest in a laptop in near future. Would appreciate a heads up into what poker rooms would suit my preferences best. Low stake tournys or freerolls(for money not tickets) with no rebuys!

Thanks in advance hopefully :)

It depends ,rich players want to make re-buys , even better re-buy is when they pay with earned Game Points .
So i wish you to make some profit and to invest in a laptop , its bettet :) and you can play more tables at same time.

They can be good as you can have a $1.10 tournament and it can have a good prize pool. However you feel that no one is getting out because of the rebuys. I love making it till no one can rebuy anymore then you start feeling like people are dropping out and you can make the money!

In rebuy tournaments you have to have a differentiated strategy with no rebuy tournaments, can be more aggressive because the rebuy or play tighter expecting a top hand to wipe the loosest opponents

I personally will not play a tournament that has rebuys or addons. The rule of thumb is...if you play a tournament with those, plan on using them. If not, the other people are going to take advantage of it and you will be playing harder for the money.

Low stakes tourney is the best. It will be hard to find freeroll without rebuy for money and not tickets. Plus tourney does not have that many all in fish like freerolls. Good luck

It depends. Some like with rebuys for them to enter many times. Others prefer one time entry.
You should have good BR to enter those tourneys with rebuy. Without backup BR, you will not go deep in the money.
Goodluck...

Sounds like you are coming from playing at Bet Online. I'd suggest staying as far away from there as possible, as I have read too many horror stories about players not receiving their funds, or having their account blocked by security after some decent winning's and trying to cashout. I'd agree, that freerolls that require/ give you the option to rebuy/ add-on a joke. And those rebuys/add-ons are simply in place to re-coup some of the sites losses by hosting these freerolls. As money spent on rebuys /add=on's only help to make up the Guaranteed prize pool. rather than be added to it! As far as options go, I'd assume you are a U.S. player, hence your options are as follows: Carbon/Aced/Pokerhost (Merge network,) ACR/ BCP/ True (Winning poker Network,) juicy stakes/ Intertiops/Puer Poker (Revolution Network,) Bovada/bodog (Independent,) FulllFlush/ 5 Dimes (Equioty poker Network,) and last but not least SealsWithClubs (bitcion.) As far as options go, you are pretty much limited to those "reputable" networks... Of course there is always Lock, but they are a crock of shit, as I have been waiting for payment for 9 months... And Poker Rebel, but I'd not even get involved with either skin/ network.

You may "hate" rebuy MTT's now, but wait til you realize exactly how shitty the daily schedule is for U.S. players across all the U.S. acceptable sites. Consider Carbon/Aced as an example, most of the MTT's they currently offer are UNLIMITED re-entry tournament's with a late reg. period of roughly 4 hours.... Now compare that to of their rebuy MTT's (or any other, pretty much, U.S. facing site) which late reg lasts for under 2 hours, and on top of that you don't pay a "rake" with every re-enrty. And you get more or/ the same amount of chips for an add-on then you do for a re-entry. Not paying a "rake" and helping to cover the prize pool which Carbon, again as an example, barley seems to meet in each of their MTT's, even with an almost 4 hour re-entry period! Just take a second to think about it in the terms I have put it in, clearly you will see the better value is in rebuy's, although it doesn't seem apparent, upon first look.

Thanks waterboy, Il certainly look into some of those sites. For the record, no I am not a US based player so if your scope swings to more sites Id be happy to hear about them too. And no, it wasnt bet onlne Ive been playing at, its 888. They have/had some nice freerolls with no rebuy during the winter olympics but being on a mobile device th only way I could earn tickets was to play cash games. Im not sure how free they ended up being!

No matter what game you choose.
In both cases, you have to play your game and should not afford to lose extra money to rebuy...

Rebuys are a very different mindset than freezouts. They aren't for everyone. If you do decide to play them, you need to budget for up to 10 buyins for each tournament. So if you normally play $20 freezeouts, you should probably be playing $3 rebuys or at most $5 rebuys.

The best players will gamble a bit early on with marginal edges. This gets more chips on the table, which a skilled player can then win more easily after the rebuy period is over.

chips in a repurchase option, I usually play these freerolls and never repurchased, I have had the patience to get into the bubble, in my humble opinion.

Not sure which site would satisfy you the best but for me I think re-buys are great being you have way more opportunities to make different plays than you normally would in a non. Being more aggressive in spots that you normally are way too passive in, picking up steals from spots that you never steal from and so on are just a few things that you can do diffrently in a re-buy

They also end up being a lot larger prizepool than the normal standard tournaments - and that honestly is what is most important. We are all after that dough and the more the merrier lol. goodluck looking for a site that you like. Bovada is the best out there for the USA now as far as guarantees go, but they do host a large number of re-buys
