Is it just me? i see what they are trying to do but i really hate it. what are the odds they will go back to letting players have unique screen names? if i wasnt american, id bail on them on that alone

i just got an email about this, and looks like it was just posted on here also.
Ace Poker Solutions just released a Bovada Hand History Converter.
It converts your HH from Bovada into a format you can import into HM2/PT4, etc.
While it doesn't solve the anonymous issue, you can at least review your play , see your stats, run filters for situations, etc.

I used to hate it so much I refused to play there. Then CC started hosting some freerolls and BI's and all of a sudden I have a small roll there.

Then they did some other stuff that helped me overcome the hate thing. While I will never love the anon thing, it hardly bothers me anymore.

I rarely play Bovada because of the anons. But they don't care about us. Plenty of other games, other sites. Ok on the rare occasion/event, but best thing about Bovada/dog is the horse racing! lol

Does anyone know if any notes you take on a player are erased after they leave the table?? BTW I hate it too.. sucks not being able to know who the crazy fish that just blew all his money was... Ive been giving them names in my notes hoping they pop up on a table with me again

I was wondering also if players notes always stay on that person if he plays at your table in the future..

That's probably why I won't put any of my out of pocket cash on there. I do not like not having notes on donkeys! I like to seek them out as well. No way you can get a read on a player in 1 game unless your there with them for hours and they don't change their play.

I like it but I pretty much play with anyone. Although I can see how finding bad players and trying to crush them could be profitable. Also it does not take hours to get a read on someone it takes like 2 orbits.

Yeah I hated it at first but am getting used to it, I just try to observe everything possible to get reads ASAP. Players are so bad that it evens out. Looking to open a roll on another site and do a bankroll building challenge type thing to get away from bovada, but I guess it works in the meantime.

More than no notes on donkeys.. i hate having no notes on Regs... I mean the donkeys are gunna make crazy stupid plays that leave you scratching your head.. but the regs you can find patterns with and they will be who you see the most at the tables.. donkeys come and go

I love it, kindve makes you play poker "old school" again, sure I love my HUD and notes and everything else, but when I'm in a game on bovada I'm forced to take detailed notes and really pay attention to what's going on...but hey, different strokes for different folks.

Love this feature, especially for MTT's...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

It does make it a bit harder to multi-table, because you actually do have to pay attention.

I never used a HUD, so it puts everyone on an even playing ground.

I'm not a fan of anon tables, but I don't miss relying on a HUD. Games are definitely fishier with the multitabling HUG-using rocks gone :)

I have a strong dislike for it. I'm big on keeping notes. It takes time to adequately assess an opponents play. I know some players might dislike the way you played a particular hand, usually one they lost, and conclude from it that "you're a donkey". Please believe it, and make sure you tell all your friends. As for me it, it may take several hands for me to come to a conclusion about a player. I don't like the idea of that time and effort I spent paying careful attetion being flushed down the toilet at the end of one session and having to start all over from scratch the next.

I really dislike the anon tables, To me it seems easier for other players to cheat and no one will know who they are.

I completely agree with you most players have those "donkey moments" but it takes time to find patterns or find something that is useful over and over...

Just sayin that player is a donk wont help you win alot.. but having a note like Donks flop 1/2 pot everytime with flush draw.. is something VERY useful that takes time to realize and learn.. and it just sucks you take the time and than poof! its gone

I don't mind it, i know ones who use huds all of the time hate it:eek: :p

Not so, with the table number and hand number they will know who it was in a hand. Reports go in and they look to see if the 2 players had played at the same tables before hand.
It only takes one hand or game to report a player, they are nailed due to one report. So it's not easier for players to cheat.

I agree I think its harder to cheat because after 24 hrs you can go back and look at the history and it shows the hand everyone at the table had.

Wow that seems really dumb to me, why wouldnt you be allowed to keep info that you gathered yourself. If poker was regulated they wouldnt be allowed to do that, its another trick for them to get more rake.

Ummm you can keep it just take it in notepad. But it will be useless because you dont know if it is the same player or not after you change tables.
