6 years ago I stopped playing poker because we started a family. Ive decided to start playing again and the wife is with me! Accountability helps my game so i will start a new thread with my progress. Boring for most but some may find it entertaining. I am TORN between ACR and bovada. I am leaving my fate in your hands. Vote either bovada or ACR OR write in your own(im in the US). If you wouldnt mind adding the biggest reason for your pick that would be great. Oh and my roll is $1000 and limits will be $10-$200 nl range. Ill play the one you pock for me. I think ill make decision monday afternoon as om off work tuesday.

bovada and carbon , if there is a third choice, ACR or lock, either is fine.

For ring games, Carbon hands down. More players and greater table selection. If you're playing mtt's, i'd say bovada. Super soft play and great structures and gtd's. Also, bovada only allows 4 ring tables open at once.

Bovada, sounds like you're just looking for a hobby that pays you back in pretty big checks every now and then. Bovadas turn around time on cash outs is unmatched

Ultimately, you should choose what is best fit for you with what they offer.

As I agree with this, lets give you a bit of x-y-z as to why.

I have had long term experience with Bovada. They are known for good tournaments (MTTs) and probably the best when it comes to customer service/payouts with us US peeps. The biggest negative they get is the whole not knowing who you're playing against. Each cash table/sit n go/mtt, you're assigned a number as your name. You could be sitting at 2 cash tables playing the same people and not even know it.

I've recently started up on carbon, mainly micro stakes. I have no experience in cashing out there, but I haven't read anything extremely alarming in my opinion. They offer OK promotional deals and action has seemed a bit soft. They include a free HUD which I've been playing around with, it's kinda cool.

I have no experience on ACR, but from the reviews I've seen on these forums it is definitely behind the previous two. Read up on what the sites have to offer, maybe even download the software and check out the games for a bit before choosing where you deposit.

Bovada. Soft players, great promotions, and awesome customer service/cash out speed.
That's my opinion :)

Do some research on your own as well. Take ppls advice and then do your own work to see if it sounds legit.

If you will be using a HUD will also be of major importance on room selection.

For a US player the easy choice is ACR or Black Chip Poker on the WPN network. They offer a debit card for withdrawals that is the quickest way a US player can get cash in hand. You can take it to an ATM and withdraw the balance. Besides being extremely quick (takes days, and up to two weeks at the most), the card has very very low fees to use. I will say the rake is kind of high, but the regulars at NL25 or NL50 with your smallish roll are very easy to exploit.

I definitely prefer Lock, but recently cashouts have been incredibly brutal, taking months to receive.
