I deposited money on there and it went through no problem. But it does say I need to validate proof of my ID. Anyone worried about identity theft here when you do this?

Don't worry my friend, they're just an unregulated gambling operation stationed in Nicuragua.

tl;dr: It could be fine but caveat utilitor

This ^ is incorrect!

Carbon is part of the 'Merge Gaming Network' with headquarters based in Australia and their game servers located on Kahnawake reserve in canada (outside of Montreal).

I've been playing on Carbon since 2008 & I have NEVER had a problem with them as far as deposit/withdrawal goes. Sending in ID/pics. is standard.

I would not be worried about identity theft at all from them. Almost all poker sites require some form of ID and Merge has a fairly good reputation.

Yeah I sent them a picture of my passport photo. I deposited with no problem.

I haven't withdrawn yet, but then again I haven't made money yet either LOL

i had played carbon poker a few years back and it was a really good site for me untill they had banned online poker play in the states on us i had about 300$ in my account which i was not able to withdraw and then finally when the ban was uplifted they no longer accepted maryland residents there for for fitting my 300$ i was very frustrated with them doubtful if they ever reopened play to maryland that i would ever return

Funny experience for me was I had more trouble with my deposit then my withdraws. On my 1st attempt my credit card denied the deposit and called me to report unauthorized use. I than paid $5 for a pre-paid CC. No good. Says I needed an international one. I spend another $5 and that one didn't work either. I had to use Western Union. Withdraws do take some time (3-5 weeks), but I've never had any problems. But back to your original question. I'm always worried about giving out personal info, but whata you gonna.

I miss Carbon so much. I am unable to play there for almost a year now. I was playing in a tournament, final table, i think there were 5 or 6 players left, got disconnected and never been able to reconnect again. But they gave me all my money, no problems with that. I guess they just dont accept players from Europe anymore. Am i correct?

Does anyone know if any Merge network site accepts players from Europe?
