Ive jus started playin at Everest poker. I liked it because they have free sit n gos in which you can win a few cents. I entered a freeroll for bonus money (didn't know till the end it was bonus money). But it is bloody hard to get to it because for each bonus dollar you have, you must win $100 to free it.
I won the freeroll and got $120 in bonus money and so will have to win $12000 to free it. This is gonna take me a while on the shastas (the free sit n go's) as on each shasta you only win 5c. I am very annoyed and felt like tellin you all here.

Nah, it isn't as bad as it sounds. At .05 cent per sit and go, you have to win 20 of the matches to make $1, you need $12,000 to free up the $120 bonus dollars you won, so assuming you win 100% of the sit and go's for .05 cents per game, you only have to play 240,000 sit and go's to free up your 120 bonus dollars. However, realistically speaking, you're probably going to win more like 75% assuming you're very good so you should probably add about another 50 or 60,000 sit and go's to the 240,000 and make it an even 300,000 just to be safe.
If you were to play, say, 20 a day, 7 days a week that's 140 every week or 560 a month. If you never took a day off and maintained a constant 75% winrate you could have that 120 bonus dollars converted to real money in just about 44 years and 7 months. Not bad. Good luck.

No doubt Grumble, but I wanted to use a number both higerthan the average winrate and easy to work with for the sake of the math. Either way 44 years 7 months is a lowball estimate, lmfao. What kind of bonus is that suppose to be?

OK now your just being silly. 20 SNG's a day for 44 years and you don't think he'll improve beyond his original 75%?

Good point. If he starts out at about a 55% winrate, by the time he frees up all his bonus money he should be at a good 70-75%. GG, NH.

You're all very pessimistic. If he 4 tabled and kept to 75% win rate, he'd have bonus cleared in under 12 years. Not looking such a rip-off now is it!

This is a classic example of a thought that tends to permeate the forum from time to time. Folks are desperately searching for some free money with no strings attached - and it's just not going to happen. Who stays in business by giving away free money? There are always going to be strings attached - so why be surprised or get upset. Never forget the old adage "If it sounds to good to be true - it is". Period, end of story...

Rob i agree that no one makes money by giving it away. I won the money on a freeroll. I jus thought it was funny how realistic my chances of freeing it are.
