What do you guys make of the anonymous nature of Bovada? Does it drastically alter the experience of those who are dependent on HUD's, if it all?

without HUD, in bovada, i would play less tables...
it does not effect my play , but effect the quantity of my play.

you know, i've never felt good with that site. I deposited once, and really got a large scale bot vibe...
could be totally wrong but the way most of the tables were betting, and i mean 5-8/9 people would have the same stack for such a long time, rarely any bluffing, and no chit chat.
not saying every player is a bot but it seems like a huge pool of hundreds of bots just working the numbers on the whole bovada application

I love and hate the anon play of Vada.
Makes players do silly things more often in my esteem which is great.
Doesnt let me note or stat check players which I dislike.
I HATE and fundamentally disagree with HUDs in any form or fashion and feel they are and well frankly have undermined a great deal of teh art of poker.
Marginal players can easily become +ROI grinders who simply put in nitty HUD dependent volume and feed off of RB. I think HUDs should be banned everywhere. That said, being able to note and build a mental or written DB on villains is imo crucial to the theory of poker as a whole.
Cashed out a decent amount there in 2014; and have no complaints about software support etc.

I too have similar sentiments regarding HUDs tARsh. Thought I was alone in that. I pretty much abandoned Bovada though since they do not offer freerolls. At this point that is how I want to build a bankroll.

That's interesting Tempo. From what I have gathered on this site, most of the networks have bots here and there.

Ya, I used one for about 5 months back in the day on FTP like 2007 I think. There are definitely merits, but I noticed and ceased using it because it affected my play when I did not have one.
Checkout my post about some freerolls around the online world that you may not know about and win some loot!

one deposit for me was enough to call bovada quits.

When I play at bovada I find that the anonymity works.. You can never get a read on anyones playing style... You have the other end though where itmay eeem like they are not human.. overall I like it..
