Hey all, I've been playing cash games for a while, but after this years wsop, I really wanna break out into tournament play. I want to see if I have what it takes to play these big live tourneys, but I have no clue how to get into them without buying straight. I currently only play on BOL.

Any tips on how to being my tournament poker career?

I'm in the same situation. I too have mostly concentrated on cash games but recently started to play tournaments. A different game for sure but exciting nevertheless. The main reason I shyed away from tournaments in the past was that you could play hours and end up bubbling with nothing to show for. Plus the fact that even professionals only cash around 20ish% seems daunting.

I didn't know that professionals only cashed out in the 20s.... I was wondering why I couldn't win at times. Except when I am at fault.

Sometimes I wonder if we can really rely on poker sites. Because you always end up coming out of tournaments with very good against bad hand hands (Ex: AA x 2 7).

The Biggest thing when playing in tournaments is not worrying about your chip stack and being very patient throughout the tournaments you play. I also played a lot of cash games and then started playing in tournaments and you need even more patience in tournaments especially in the early levels.
