Yesterday i saw a post by someone (forgot the username), the title was similar to this, but the thread was locked for some reason. so im gonna carry on and do my very very rough and quick estimate..
all the estimates r done on the lower side
ok..
1) at peak times, the number of tables is around 16,000. lets divide that by 3 (dont ask me why) and lets say the average number of tables is
5,000
2) lets just say the average rake per hand is 0.3 dollars, lets say half the hands dont go to the flop so lets say the rake per hand is
0.15 dollars
3) now lets say the average number of hands per hour per table is
60
4) so now if we times 2) and 3) together, we get the rake per hour per table
=
9 dollars
5) now lets find our how
full tilt makes in an hour = times 4) by 1)
=
45,000
6) now how much they make in a day = 45,000 * 24 hours
= 1,080,000 dollars
1 million dollars a day. obviously tho, they actually get money when ppl deposit (hence the ............ to deposit) and they give back money when ppl withdrawal (hence the......... involving the withdrawal methods) but calculating the rakes shud give some idea of how much profit they make...
oh forgot the costs:
the "pros"
fees and taxes (will be very very very low in the jurisdiction theyre in)
customer service...............
bonuses for players
advertisement costs
well lets just overestimate them and say their costs per day is 100,000
so theyre still making a profit of 900,000 a day? that cant be rite? some one pls correct me...i may hav done this wrong or forgot about some factors tho....
suggestions or comments are welcomed
p.s. i did this pretty quickly so any POLITE suggestions will be welcomed
