I am very curious of this number. Their are difinately some factors to this number. Yes they make a lot of money from cash tables, tournaments, satellites and selling gear. Think about how much they give away. First, sign up bonuses, freerolls, gauranteed tournaments that do not reach the gauranteed amount, sponsorships to sites and to poker pros and then they give many players rakeback, also promotions such as the phil ivey and even more. They also have to pay people for their customer service and probably others as well. I understand that Full Tilt is definately making a HUGE profit, but how much would you say? I would say near 1 million a day? Is this too much or too little, give me your opinion. Thanks

...i could say your way off with that figure..id say its way too much, id say its way too little...but being honest, there is imo a 99% chace you wont get a correct answer...youll probably get 40 replys with different figures, but u said 1 million, thats a good as a guess as anyone else...of course you could spend 24 hours tracking things, but its different every day and differnt weekends...

$1 million US is not a bad estimate. We pegged our local Indian Casino at about $2 million a day based on their advertised payout rate.

You really will never know. Its a private company that is not in the U.S. No reporting requirements what-so-ever.

While FTP probably makes a ton of rake most of there money probably comes from having every deposit made on the site sit in a high interest bankacount somewhere in switzerland.
So before you try to run the numbers on how much they make of rake try checking how much they make of hundreds of millions just sitting there collecting intersest rates.

A million a day may seem like alot to most of us but for a large company it is not. I know our local electric company has nuclear generators that they make a profit of over a million a day for each generator that is running. If you break it down based on average player traffic of 50,000 players that is $20 per player per day. Now I know they don't make that much on me but I am pretty sure on average and including the afore mentioned bank interest this number would be very possible.

I am offended that this counts towards your post count.

Well, when Clonie Gowen (sp?) sued FT, her lawyers claimed FT had a net worth of around $50 Billion. I think that was November of 2008. Depending on when they were founded, that could give an estimate as to how much they make in a day. Of course, who knows how accurate their numbers are.

Well for comparison, take pokerstars' recent commercial that said how much their players earn in fpps per day or month. Multiply that by ~4 or so, I'd guess, to find their gross rake income. I have no idea how much money they spend on servers, security, personnel though.

My guess is about 3-6 million per day. I get this number from arahel's post. If a Indian casino makes about 2 million per day then Full Tilt probably makes twice as much as that.

Yeah I have heard that at least 1 million $ a day. A thriving firm in the recession. :)

This seems right..

Yesterday i saw a post by someone (forgot the username), the title was similar to this, but the thread was locked for some reason. so im gonna carry on and do my very very rough and quick estimate..

all the estimates r done on the lower side

ok..
1) at peak times, the number of tables is around 16,000. lets divide that by 3 (dont ask me why) and lets say the average number of tables is 5,000

2) lets just say the average rake per hand is 0.3 dollars, lets say half the hands dont go to the flop so lets say the rake per hand is 0.15 dollars

3) now lets say the average number of hands per hour per table is 60

4) so now if we times 2) and 3) together, we get the rake per hour per table
= 9 dollars

5) now lets find our how full tilt makes in an hour = times 4) by 1)
= 45,000

6) now how much they make in a day = 45,000 * 24 hours
= 1,080,000 dollars

1 million dollars a day. obviously tho, they actually get money when ppl deposit (hence the ............ to deposit) and they give back money when ppl withdrawal (hence the......... involving the withdrawal methods) but calculating the rakes shud give some idea of how much profit they make...

oh forgot the costs:
the "pros"
fees and taxes (will be very very very low in the jurisdiction theyre in)
customer service...............
bonuses for players
advertisement costs

well lets just overestimate them and say their costs per day is 100,000

so theyre still making a profit of 900,000 a day? that cant be rite? some one pls correct me...i may hav done this wrong or forgot about some factors tho....

suggestions or comments are welcomed

p.s. i did this pretty quickly so any POLITE suggestions will be welcomed

Reviewing the quote, I think the results would actually be double, I see the tables at around 25K all day long not 16..

Also I have to think the people who run Full Tilt are smart enough to be making interest of the money people keep on the site as their bankrolls.
