When you play the poker tables on a poker site, how many players do you prefer to play against and why? Do you prefer a full table (10 players) or 4 or 5 players?

Full tables imho are easier to win on.

I have been playing mostly 6max recently though, purely cause you can win faster (and lost faster) on them and I wanted to learn how to play them.

Quite happy playing on both now though. NL or Limit.

Often find a lot of sites (apart from party) the table selection is rather small, so you are often stuck for choice if your playing at one place.

I hate the full ring games at $1-$2 anyway, much perfer the 5 max ring games on paradise, there usually full of donks.

I prefer the 5 or 6 max tables. You can play more hands you otherwise would have folded on. I like the pace. But, I have to remember to change my style of play when I do play on a 10 player table...otherwise I find myself in trouble. But truth be told, I generally hate playing ring-games. I much prefer a SNG, and I must say I like the Turbo games but NOT the Extreme Turbo...that gets a bit too crazy.

I agree with Grumbledook that the full ring tables are softer than the 6max ones.

I personally like to play 6max as well because a lot of the times, players play WAY too loose and don't buy-in for enough and automatically disadvantage themselves (i.e. $10 buy-in at .5/1 limit).

Perosnally, I prefer SNGs to cash games, I have started to 3-table them. Once I get good at this, and get a computer with a bigger screen, I will move on to 4-tabling...

I prefer to play on a table with a few others. Probably around 3 or 4 is my preferred number

I like shorthanded tables for NL. The only prob. is that there is so much varience. Overall, my win rate is much higher tho

I prefer the full ring games. I find you get more value because the blinds don't come around as quickly. The full ring game suites my style too as I play a pretty tight game. I've experimented with 6 max tables and learned quite a bit from them but don't really enjoy the pace or the play of the table with so few on.
