How hard is it to make a poker site admit that they were wrong?
I'm speaking from personal experience in dealing with support on many sites.
Every poker sites probably have rules strictly forbidding any support agent to say that there was a software bug or that they made an error. (Although sometimes they will admit a connection error and refund tourneys)
Of course there is money involved and if they admitted they were wrong; players would simply flood support to get their money back.
When they realize that they are actually wrong they will simply say "You were the only player to report that and we are sorry for the inconvenience; as a good will gesture we will credit you (fill the blank) back."
They don't want to publicly admit their fault in the matter because of the money involved.
